This morning i made some flights with MSFS and in the afternoon i updated the A32nx mod.
After the update was ready , I start MSFS2020.
The program starts and after about 30 sec I was back on my MS desktop. Nothing happens after that.
I try to start MSFS again but there was no program icon in the start menu. I could also not find the program folder on my harddisk.
Everything was gone?
No program folder , no community folder with all the mods.
I don’t now how that could happen.
Now i have to install the sim and all of the mods again. I have to do all of my settings.
158 GB downloading for the sim takes a long time and after that all the mods.
I am absolutely not pleased… 
I have changed it to #bugs-and-issues:performance as that is for installation issues.
Have almost the same issue with a small side note I kept 1.5gb profile and community folder stuff. The issue didn’t happen when updating the Flybywire. After the latest MS/Asobo update all my +/-155gb are gone! All evening I’m downloading it again and it is very slow. Still not finished after 8 hours. I’m not happy with MS and Asobo to put a ground braking sim deleting update into the world !
I lose everything.
I have no history left and all my settings are also gone.
It take me 10 hours to get MSFS 2020 running again.
No History left, that’s the bad thing. 
I want to now where MSFS stores his history and setting so i could make a backup of this files.
A complete backup of the hole program (159GB) is to big for me.
How on earth can a program uninstall its self?
Do have the the sim installed on its own HDD or SSD ? If yes im thinking some kind of Hard disk failure
It’s no harddisk failure the Samsung 970 EVO M.2 1TB is perfectly alright.
It’s monitored by the Samsung SSD app.
I don’t realy now what was the problem.
The only thing i discovered was that i also at the same time was logged out of my windows live and Xbox account.
HDD/SSD’s are all fine here. I’ve noticed an increase of protection of Microsoft Defender. Wouldn’t be surprised if something triggered the anti-virus protection program. But I was also logged out of windows live and my Xbox account. And the game service received an update. This week I received several Windows updates last one was a security fix.
I am running my virusscanner in “game mode” while running the sim, so there is no interruption of the virusscanner.
I have made a ticket (99614) to Zendesk about this event!
