If you have the Store version, the most painless thing to do is open the Store app and make sure the entry there is updated. I opened mine yesterday and it said MSFS was updated the previous day. I then launched the sim and it pulled down three small updates - airports if I remember right.

My download has errored out at 81mb and won’t continue no matter what I’ve tried.
