I’ve just installed MSFS2020 to play again, but when I tried to open the sim, it didn’t start. I have tried multiple methods to fix this issue, but none of them have worked. Back when I used to play, I never experienced this issue when trying to open the game. All I have done is download the game off the Xbox app. I haven’t downloaded any of the sim. If someone could help me out, I’d greatly appreciate it.
Cheers,
Dexify.
PS: Back when I used to play, I was running on Windows 10.
PC Specs:
GTX 1650 Super.
Intel Core i7-10700F.
170GB of free space.
8GB of Ram.
Latest Graphic Drivers.
Latest Windows Updates.
Windows 11.
Can you describe the “won’t start” ?
If it’s stuck on the “Syncing Data”, and on Windows, maybe you have a Windows Update in progress. Could be worth checking if Windows is up-to-date, and that all applications in the Microsoft Store also are. Note that after updates, a reboot might be necessary.
If it’s something else, you might have more info in the Event Viewer of windows
Cheers,
K.

What I mean by “won’t start” is that the app just won’t open when I press play on the Xbox app.

Try reinstalling the Gaming Services app on your Windows 10/11 device:
1:Select the Search charm in the taskbar, type powershell, right-click Windows PowerShell, and then select Run as administrator.
2:In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter:
get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers
3:In the same window, type the following command, then press Enter:
start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN
4:Install the app on this page, then select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.
Restart your device.
