would it be possible that the function to be able to see the taxiways in the default EFB on the moving map in MSFS2024 be added in the future or maybe the ability layer the default charts on the moving map in the EFB?
just like with Navigraph where the taxiway charts are layered within the map and you can see your aircraft location.
it would be nice to have this feature especially for users who does not have a Navigraph subscription.
Since the moving blue/white aircraft symbol is visible in the Lido departure, arrival and approach charts in the EFB, I assume it would be be no problem for WT to let it also show up in the EFB’s Lido airport taxi and parking charts. I suspect that WT/MS/Asobo are just leaving this to Navigraph as a last resort. I cannot see another reason.
Unfortunately, neither LIDO nor FAA provide georeference data with ground charts, so this is presently not possible.

The addons sky4sim and Little NavMap are able to show taxiway labels and gate/ramp parking spot numbers that they read directly from the sim itself, so I don’t see why the built-in EFB couldn’t show the same information on the main map.
Of course that won’t match the LIDO (or other) airport charts since those are real-world, but it’d still be useful to have in-sim scenery taxiway labels on the map, even on Xbox when using the built-in ATC, as well as when using addons that use the in-sim scenery data for taxiways or parking, such as GSX, BeyondATC, and Pilot2ATC.
The API available to the EFB does not provide any airport taxiway or parking data; as such we are not able to draw this information.
Ah well, I mean, conceptually whoever’s responsible for the API could add it, since the data itself is available.
