Looking at your title, I’m a little surprised that MS haven’t managed to put up a forum banner, with a big countdown timer.
Maybe they have more important things to be working on?

Plenty of time for me to do that in the 6hrs or thereabouts (assuming it’s not even marketplace like slower) that it will take for me to download it. Tomorrow on the other hand may be a different story!
I really wish they’d done a preinstall option that equated to more than the boot screen. As it stands I’ll be reading about what it’s like well before my download is completed.
Am I the only one that finds it weird we haven’t seen many new trailers for this sim in a long time.
If I had a 16.00 (launch time) flight from Heathrow, I’d be setting off from home now.
I pre-ordered but received back just an email receipt from MS for the amount paid. Is there anything I need to do at the actual release time or is the game supposed to just install automatically at that time? Thanks.

In Xbox Game Store I looked up my game library and was able to download about 300mb. The game is now showing up on home screen. I dont know how it works on other platforms.

Just got an email from XBox saying FS2024 has ‘officially taken flight’ and "Hit the tarmac now and join in with your own launch! ". Only about 1hr 40mins early. Haven’t checked the installer though!
It won’t let me download on xbox yet, says im early and to check Microsoft store for details

Same here on PC. 16:00 it’ll be then for a long download. If I’m lucky I’ll maybe ge to try it out tomorrow morning.
