Thanks,
MSFS Team

This plane hasn’t been upgraded to 2024. No wipers, no wear and tear, no mud/dirt accumulation.
Only thing I saw was engine smoke as an upgrade. I really do hope it will be upgraded and we will have new variants for it. Now it’s the same plane as in 2020.
If you improve it and add career for it I think it’ll be enjoyed by a lot of people. Really hope AtSimulations will have time to really give it some love.

The engine smoke is very intermittent for me. Other than that I didn’t notice any issues in my (very) short flight. I gotta say whoever tested this plane did a really fantastic job. :joy:

And parachute mode still works :upside_down_face:

The auto-start does not work for me. I do CTRL+E and it does the sequence but then it seems like it’s going to start but dies right away.

It is my favorite plane in MSFS 2020 was the Antonov An-2, but in 2024, the plane seems almost unflyable. The maximum airspeed appears to be around 150 km/h, which drops rapidly even during the gentlest climbs, causing it to stall. Additionally, the manifold pressure gauge seems to be glitching, with the needle extreamly rapidly flickering between 9 and 10 so it seems glitched.

I was wondering if others are experiencing the same issues with this plane and if there’s anything that can be done to fix it? I’m using the same standard checklists that worked in MSFS 2020. Should I just hope for a quick official patch, or is there a workaround?

I’ve been experiencing the same. Second day of msfs2024 i swear it was ok, but since Thursday/Friday i tried all versions and i can barely even take off.

Same for me. I did the runway start and took off, wanted to climb and had to set it down again immediately as I ran out of speed at full throttle. This plane seems broken, climbs like a Wright flyer.

Exactly the same for me. I couldn’t keep it in the air.

This is one of my favourites! I flew the float version today which is sorting as a livery. It worked perfectly as normal. I flew this one quite a bit in 2020 as well.

I tried the plane again today after the 1.2.7.0 release, still same problems.

the reverse of the propeller does not work on the An-2B floats model Antonov An-2 by ATSimulations. Anybody knows how to solve this problem?

I’m revisiting this aircraft because I feel guilty for not flying it as much as it deserves in FS20.

While reviewing the checklist in the manual, I found in the ā€˜Before Starting’ section that after opening the pneumatic charging valve, the air press should be >30. However, in the sim, that value is lower (10). Could it be a bug or maybe a mistake in the manual?

One final questiong what is ā€œEmergency manhole > CLOSED & SECUREDā€ which appears at the beggining of before starting section? It may be referring to the entry door?

Has anyone noticed the puffs of white smoke coming from the right exhaust?

Yeah I saw that here too

The float variant flies for me. However, as others pointed out, the wheeled variant flies like the Wright Flyer. I get a sluggish start, the airplane barely gets airborne in ground effect, and then settles back onto the runway a short ways later. Am I being a newb? Is the aircraft broken? I noticed the lead edge slats were auto-deploying while I’m trying to climb out, which didn’t seem right, but I don’t really know much about this plane. I figured I could at least sample it having it start on the runway in a ready to go flying configuration.

I had to mash the pitch trim with the mouse to get it flying straight and level with wheels.

I can’t start up the modern version (GNS530 installed). Not even with Ctrl+E. The classic one starts without any problems.

Update: I’ve created a bug report. Please, if you suffer this problem, consider voting:

Another question: what is the ā€œchip monitoringā€ (red lamp in the front panel)? What is it used for? And sorry for asking again but: what is the emergency ā€œmanholeā€? During the walkaround I’ve been searching but I haven’t seen any emergency exit.

I’ve detected the same behavior, and it seems to be due to a fuel pressure loss with the consequent loss of power. Using the manual fuel pump solves the situation, but only temporarily. Seconds later, the problem returns. As someone has mentioned before, this situation is related to changing the fuel selector. But I am not sure if this is a bug or something related to the new engine failure simulation.

The only thing I’m sure of is that the modern variant with GPS cannot start up by loading it from the parking in cold and dark.

You are genius…I got good results by manual pumping gas…

You can check this gauge…after a while it goes down…

And it starts flickering…
So there is this solution of manual pumping gas when you need :hugs::rofl: Nice addition/feature :))
