I had engine shutting off few times before flight, restarted it few times and took off and engine quit, had to land.

This airplane is really at expert level. You have to be an expert to figure out that the strange things that happen in this airplane are not because of you, but because of faults in the airplane. And you have to be an expert to find workarounds for the problems caused by these bugs. And since there is no manual for the aircraft, you become an expert through the research you do with video tutorials and old FCOMs. For me, itās back to the hangar. With the disappointing last update and knowing itās a Hans Hartman airplane, it will probably stay there.
Prop brake on, put engine to in auto feather, and throttle up and the aircraft starts movingā¦ yet the prop is not spinning.
What a joke, i swear this was meant to be fixed and/or been an issue for ages now. Very lazy.
Why this plane is not available on the career mode? We want to fly the most expensive content weāve payed for in what is supposed the main mode of the sim!
The workaround for freezing is to toggle Nanovg in the Experimental settings. This runs the init script and you are back to functioning aircraft.
The rudder trim is interesting on this model. If you put the camera right behind the tail when you are listing to the right, try one click of rudder trim to the left ie. stand the tail up to the left. You will notice a roll AND a yaw effect to the rudder trim; in other words a twisting response. Once you get used to that effect, you can trim up quite nicely. The aileron trim effects are very, very slow to see, so be gentle.
Regarding roll and yaw in response to rudder trim, the secondary effect of yaw is roll, I donāt see anything wrong there? The ATR should have auto rudder trim when the yaw damper is ON (which should be from selecting gear up until just before landing), during that time it should automatically trim for coordinated flight and you canāt even manually adjust the rudder trim, you can only adjust rudder trim with YD off.
Iām not saying the rudder effect is wrong, just not what everyone would expect from the way the other aircraft behave. Also, the slip and attitude indicators will not be exactly aligned when you are in trim, and that can throw people off.
Do you know any equivalent of this setting in msfs 2024 for ATR?

ATR have abandoned their STOL variant due to lack of interest so presumably there wont now be one in the sim.
Hoping focus can now be on improving the existing ATRs otherwise Iām holding out for Saab 340 improvements or someone to bring out a Dash 8 or F27.

Asobo creating the ATR with their ā(not so) expert seriesā was a big mistake. I hope they wonāt touch anything outside of simple GA aircraft going forward. They are very good at creating inferior products but pricing them such that no 3rd party developer deems it profitable to ever create a proper version. We will likely never see proper ATR for MSFS unfortunately. They are robbing the community of potentially great add-ons this way.
In FS2020 ATR āofficial defaultā liveriesā there is an Air New Zealand livery but for me itās not in the FS2024 liveries or variants at all. Does anyone else see it in FS2024 ?

I believe itās there aboutsā¦ There are a number of liveries that say 2020/2024 although the actual aircraft is still 2020 on the compatibility status but a number of those feedback posts say they are having no issuesā¦
You should definitely download it and see if its working for youā¦ and I donāt believe it will be long before its compatible as the developer released it the day or two before and has updated it onceā¦
Itās actually, for a freeware aircraft, very well done, apart from the odd broken sound loop when the sound goes quietā¦ for what it isā¦ and free, it is a great teaser into when JF get around to releasing their f27 and hs748s
Atr 72-600 HELP PLEASE
WHEN I perform everything ive learnt from YouTube tutorial videos and these forums on the atr 72 to start the aircraft there seems to be a problem with Taxiing the Aircraft from gates/parking ramps.
Would anyone be able to HELP?

I too have over 2000hrs + on ATR 72-600 in RL, and was considering coming back to this.
Same as yourself, I was disappointed when I saw BlackBird dropped their dev for this aircraft, however I was excited when it was described as āExpert-Seriesā.
I could forget its bugginess, but when you factor in:
ā¦ I canāt bring myself to try and fly it again. I hope the mods donāt hide this message, as it is the cold hard truth for this. I really do hope it can be fixed and improved one day, and as Iāve stated on previous forum posts, I would be happy to assist in any way. For now though, it is removed from my library indefinitely.
