Double check that you aren’t triggering Rudder Yaw or similar with unintentional keyboard input. Also worth trying “Center Rudder” (CTRL Q - I think) when it does happen to see if it restores the rudder pedals to center
Agreed.
I purchased the Bravoairspace 787-9 in FS2024. To use it I needed to re-enable the FS2020 787, but it works fine.
I downloaded the FS2020 787 to stop is disabling again each time I fired up the sim.
The picture just shows the animation is wrong while the input is correct: Right rudder input is applied, the aircraft recognises the input correctly (as shown in FCTL page) and behaves accordingly, but the rudder animation is doing the opposite way.
Are any of you guys trying to run the 787-10 in VR? Have had mega difficulties with pilot position for the camera. Eventually I found that Shift F9 puts the pilot in the standard position for IFR. The binding that normally would work to move the pilot back and forward and up and down do not seem to be reliable. I’ll check my rudder pedal when I take a flight.
I have been quite tempted to get the BravoAirspace, but I think I will get the iFly 737 MAX first.
Just some follow-up with the latest SU4 Beta. I checked that rudder issue and I do not have it. Pedals move normally.
I still have issues with the VR Toolbar and the Key presses I use to get around it in VR are:
Shift F9 move pilot to IFR position or F10 for VFR or F11 for landing.
Toggle VR Toolbox: ALT + T
Here are some screenshots now that I am learning how to do this in the Quest 3. Not as high resolution as 2D but inside the headset looks pretty good.
Welcome to SFO!
Hell. My 787 doesn’t work at all. Its got no electrical… whether starting cold & dark, or (supposedly) already up and running spawning directly onto a runway.
Surprising as you can tell I am generally a B-787 fanboy. When you say electrical do you mean you are not seeing the glass cockpit instruments? There are several buttons that do not work but I do not use them… lights. The main thing about this aircraft for me is the the autopilot and VNAV generally work much easier that the other Boeings.
To test it you can set up simple IFR flight plans using the MS Flight Planner like from Stockton, Fresno, Moffit Field (NUQ) or San Jose to San Francisco. The plane should fly itself off the runway (at least it does for me) with no human intervention and hook up to the flight plan with LNAV and the right FL. Then it should go right down the LOC and GS and autoland, again hands off (see center screenshot above you with see the autoland is on). I believe you need to get over 3000’ for the localizer to kick in.
Primary runway at SFO is 28R.
Wow its really this non-functional add-on b787-10 !! I was so close to buy it …
There is still no wing flex in the stock 787 as of October 2025.
Is this really true or am I missing something?
Man i really wish they’d add the dreamliner to the marketplace separately already
I think scrolling through the issues folks have with the modeling on this aircraft above would be why it’s not there yet - though Jorg made it sound like they’ve finally got visual updates for some of the big PDE Boeings coming with SU4, so hopefully that includes the 787. Once those are done, I’m sure it will be available for individual purchase.
In the meantime, if you have access to MSFS (2020) (even via cloud gaming) you can sign in, buy the 2020 version of the 787, and it will transfer to your 2024 My Library including access to the 2024 version.
Yeah, it is missing. You can get it with I think the Bravo 787-9/8? but that AP is not so good and based on the 2020 model.
I’m fairly certain the Bravo Airspace avionics/autopilot are just copy/pastes of the Working Title systems, so performance should be identical to the Asobo ![]()
I think they upgraded the AP in SU3 or so. They added a profile view for the descent. If you have that in the Bravo, then there is a common code base.
That being said, the 787 AP is far from perfect and there are a lot of VNAV problems at least in my hands. I think there are some unwritten rules of how high you have to climb before a descent profile starts to work… probably if I really knew how the real AP worked, might help. There is a funny interaction with the definition of cruise altitude.
get a 777 instead. the 787 is so frame heavy barely usable. and sorry to say i find it not very detailed. standard aircraft.
Unfortunately the PMDG offerings are entirely outside of my budget but thanks for the advice regardless!
I really want to get my hands on either the 350 or the 787 anyway
I got my 777LR for around 31 eur during their birthday sale . Sale is over now ofc. But I understand your point. However, the 787 might be around $25 or so.
wow this add-on its so ….. ?? The quality drops after any new comment .
