typically the cruise speed vary’s based upon the Barometric Altitude, the Outside Airtemp and the desired performance
Typically for 6K at standard temp and pressure at ~65% bhp, you’re looking around 114kts at 2500 RPM with a fuel burn rate of 9.0 gal/hr (the 172S model)
the R model (Same Altitude and performance) 109kts at 2171 RPM, fuel burn of 7.47 gal/hr
Edit, pages 5-17 of the POH does denote cruise preformances
For who want to avoid the tendency to roll to the left in the Cessna 172 in MSFS2024, even though it doesn’t have aileron trim, we can use it like if the plane had it.
Don’t know if you guys have the same issue but when I complete the preflight checklist and I turn on the master ALT/BAT and then I turn on the Avionics swirtches and turn them off after fan noise check, whenever you start them again in the starting engine procedure, the tachometer and the vertical speed indicator would not work.
I don’t understand why this is not more common on MSFS202 yet, with the modular nature of MSFS2024, it should be easier to MOD the aircraft, add different type of avionics, wheel, propeller…I think like bagoluu did on MSFS2020, someone should just take the 172 and make a great aircraft with it, WBsim maybe?
Bugalu is working on an M and then an N model, but not I’m sure if they are just skins or whether they will be changing the flight models to match those models.
surprisingly, if you bind aileron trim controls, they work in the analog 172 in 2024. Can be flown hands off for a lonnnnng while if u dial in the aileron trim. (i know it doesn’t have it IRL, but it also doesn’t need this nudge often irl either so.. yeah)
