[MSFS2024] Cessna 404 Titan

All bugs and squawks aside, this is one of my favorite defaults in 24. Today I flew the C414AW in 2020 back to back with the 404 in 24 on the same flight plan, in the same live weather (except that the 404 flight was of course about an hour later than the 414 flight). The Chancellor is an exceptional add-on aircraft, meticulously modeled. The Titan is lesser but also fun for exactly what it is. And I like that it is modeled as well worn, even more so than the Chancellor.

To keep it within its limits in 24 today, and to stay VFR under a cloud deck, I only cruised the Titan at 5,500’ (the Chancellor got up to 9,500 but had to descend due to the ceiling midway through the flight). Two handcrafted airports, KRVL to KSWF, a brisk tailwind and a golden hour sunset on the Titan landing made for a delightful afternoon flight. The scenery in 24 along the way was a step up from 2020, that said, both flights were really quite beautiful to look at!

Points of difference interesting to note, but in no way affected the fun I had today. The 414AW has the GTN750 which has SimBrief integration, something I really enjoy. The 404 gets its flight plan from the web flight planner via the EFB. Both work but the former is more robust for IFR and the latter better suited to VFR until all the bugs are worked out and features deployed.
