For some reason its in MACH hold mode already, you can click the speed knob on the AP panel and switch it back to indicated airspeed. The AT seems to be working fine, it was set to 0.37 and holding that. That just happened to be 149 knots at that altitude.
For some reason I have to actually click on the selected climb profile on the vnav page every time or it will try to climb at a slow speed and eventually stall. You might give that a try.
The developer (Working Title) replied to a DM from me that only the default livery works with MS2024 at the moment. The others will be included when they have been updated.
To add to the confusion, the Marketplace lists the Longitude as Working Titleâs product with 7 liveries, and your library (when you buy it) will show Asobo as the developer with only the default livery.
yeah it sucks. I just want a NetJets livery.
Is the VNAV broken in 2024? I tried to select a 4-degree descend, but the FMS locked me out from adjusting it. The system gave me a 1.8-degree angle, which is worse than the default 3-degree.
Itâs beyond frustrating that with the disastrous release of MSFS 2024, Asobo/Microsoft broke the local file structure â something that absolutely didnât need to be touched. As of today, six months later, we still have no proper solution for local file access, and worse, no official support to create liveries for the Longitude, even though the community has been asking for this since the release!
This forced move to a fully streaming system is a major reason why a large part of the community is sticking with MSFS 2020. Many of us paid good money for MSFS 2020 content, and now, with 2024, weâre being locked out of basic functionality that was essential to the simâs success and the thriving community around it. Itâs extremely disappointing to see how slow and dismissive Asobo seems to be when it comes to listening to community feedback.
Weâve been asking â repeatedly â for simple things like livery support for the Longitude, a core aircraft. No answer. No roadmap update. No commitment. Just silence. At this point, it feels like community needs are being ignored while flashy marketing features take priority.
We need real communication, real solutions â and the ability to own our content again. Enough is enough.
Bummer. Sounds like the Longitude is a mess in 2024. Guess Iâll just continue flying 2020 for a while longer.
I regularly fly the longitude in 2024. Yes thereâs only the one livery but the plane itself is beautiful to fly and personally I canât fault it. For free flight itâs my goto aircraft. ![]()
Itâs only available in the premium package ?? How does it compare to the Longitude in 2020 ??
Not played 2020 since 2024 launch. I find 2024 beta 2 stable for my gaming requirements. As for the longitude, it handles well, the Garmin avionics are superb and I have no complaints.
As long as the flight plan is correctly configured, I can press AP immediately after raising the landing gear and the longitude will climb, cruise and descend with auto throttle without further interaction, follow the ILS to ground, leaving me to enjoy the ride and take over a few feet above the runway for a perfect landing. It will follow every speed and altitude restraint, STAR or VNAV and do so at x8 sim rate. ![]()
The longitude flies wonderfully in 2024. I havenât had any issues with it.
I guess youâre the lucky ONE then?
the Cessna Citation Longitude in MSFS 2024 continues to have significant issues with LOD and external textures. The aircraft often shows incorrect or missing textures, with the fuselage attachments like the wing pylons, antennas, and other small details not loading correctly at a distance. These parts either appear blurry, flicker, or fail to render entirely until youâre close enough. Additionally, thereâs a noticeable asymmetry in the model, textures and components load differently depending on your viewing distance, with one side of the aircraft sometimes looking completely different from the other. This is particularly visible when the aircraft switches between high and low LOD settings, causing some details to pop in or out of view in a jarring way. The reflections and shading can also be inconsistent, making the aircraft look unpolished and incomplete. Additionally, there are problems with Navigraph integration and the aircraft forgetting unit settings between sessions.
Add me to the luck list
. But then I donât use navigraph. I fly the plane from inside the cockpit and rarely look at the aircraft from the outside so have never noticed the issues you mention. I donât care if a bit of wing looks funny or an outsite panel doesnât render correctly.
From a pilot flying the aircraft point of view, I find it flys perfectly. ![]()
Yeah I also noticed the LOD problem but it really doesnât affect my overall enjoyment of this plane. I think itâs avionic systems work well without any glaring issues, so are the flight characteristics.
This plane is real rocket ship, I do wonder if the Sim performance actually really represent the real life counterpart.
Been asked before and apparently it is modelled accurately. ![]()
Yes it is, the flight model is extremely accurate, in a bunch of ways. The Longitude is a very high performance aircraft. For reference, at mid takeoff weights, book cruise climb 270/0.84 (the default climb schedule) at 21K feet at ISA temps is listed at about 3400 fpm.
oh so youâre only talking about the external model and not how it flies? Ive never noticed a ânoticeable asymmetryâ with the model lol.
Itâs the only thing Iâve been flying lately. Love the aircraft, and works great for me.

This is the only issue Iâve had with the Longitude, I have screenshots showing that st the default camera distance in external.view you lose a lot of detail and the antennas on top of the fuse disappear which is a bit ridiculous at the default camera distance.

I asked this too after doing 3k+ FPM into the mid 20âs but yea seem to be accurate from what Iâve read.
It works but only in the 2024 version not in the 2020 version
Totally agree. The 2020 version has lights the 2024 version broken
