[MSFS2024] Cirrus SF50 Vision Jet

I’m setting up a button box to control the SF50 AP, and as far as I can tell: the “VNV” button is not available in the list of mappable controls in MSFS 2024. Is that correct? I asked AI and it says there isn’t a mappable control for the VNV button in the VJ.

Not sure what software you’re using but in Axis and Oh’s I’m using the B: event SF50_AUTOPILOT_VNAV_MODE_Inc to toggle the vnav button.

There is no built in Keybind for VNAV, it’s been a wishlist item of mine for a long time now. You need to use an FSUIPC program as noted earlier to map and send that command to a controller.

Hey all, it’s been a great while since I’ve flown either Vision jet in the sim whether Asobo or FFX. That being said, which is better to fly now? Is the FFX getting a native port someday?

Disclaimer I am a FlightFX Staffer

We are not updating the FlightFX version to 2024, the Microsoft/Working Title version is the official Vision Jet for the new sim.

Our resident Owner/Operator Stretch is a IRL Vision Jet pilot. He has a set of videos on his YouTube Channel of both sim versions where he flies them end to end. Useful if you want an informed comparison.

I was wondering on xbox with controller how to click on the touch screens? Am I missing a binding in config?

It would be a lot easier if you could attach a mouse to your rig.

Does your controller cursor not do the job? Similarly to switching knobs and buttons?

To be fair, I have a ps5 with a mouse, so can’t really judge.

You can hear the same engine popping sound in the videos linked here

Also since then have ran few tests on local and even when I am high up with game runnning +80fps, its same issue and CPU is nowhere near maxing out on any core. GPU does run at 100% (not in memory usage) but that I believe is expected

I’ve submitted this request to Zendesk regarding adding GPU and basic cargo features to the Vision Jet in MSFS 2024.

This thread may be of interest to you if this is relevant to you as well:

What about wiper in the msfs 2024?

The Vision Jet is not equipped with them.

It’s a pity…

I’ve never needed wiper blades.

The Vision Jet is designed in a a way that they’re not needed.

I think you may have misunderstood; the real plane has no wipers either. It has a permanent hydrophobic coating on the windshield so water beads off at flying speeds.

The trouble with this hydrophobic coating is that it only works at a good speed. Not when you are in a taxi, at night, in poor visibility on a poorly lit taxiway or ramp and in sleet or heavy rain. That’s when you probably use all the bad words you learned throughout your entire life, regretting the purchase. It’s the same as if you’d buy a car with no wipers but with the permanent Rainx applied to the windscreen and the side windows. Sure, it works on the motorway at 60 miles per hour, but not too helpful in town. Now imagine you have no wipers at all. Not just to deal with the rain, but in general….dead bugs, dirt on the windscreen after the rain, etc., etc.

Not just in SF50, in other light biz jets too. How is this still allowed? No idea…

-Disregard-

If you can afford a Vision Jet, you can afford to move to where it doesn’t rain

Sure, but that’s a thing to take up with Cirrus. It’s not a bug in the sim aircraft, which is what this thread is about.
