[MSFS2024] Cirrus SF50 Vision Jet

Anyone know how to see the wind speeds?

Go to PFD Opts, Wind and you will see 3 options depending on how you want to view the winds. Option 1 shows the two components: head/tail wind, crosswind. I think Option 3 shows the actual direction and velocity and Option 2 was similar without units (just numbers).

Anyway, try them out and see what you like. The default option is None.

I thought we would get the FlightFX version of the Vision Jet, the one they released for 20200? This looks the part but seems to lack a lot of the attention to details (EFB, headsets, systems etc etc)

You can definitely do that! Go to the middle touch screen, select MFD page, and then move the top right knob to the left. From here you can visualise anything in the PFD, from checklists to traffic or whether, or aircraft systems. The in the left most touch panel, you can control the zoom too, or go from full to split screen mode

I do not see the touchpad in the door pouch where things like external power could accessed. Has that moved?

Hmm, I’m not seeing that in the Vision Jet. I know how to do it for the G1000, but I have no wind options in the two PFD setttings.

As with everything Asobo do, it got gutted once they got there hands on it and is a steaming mess after, just like every thing else

Same here - the emergency battery light came on and went off by itself. I don’t know why.

  • take off thrust notification when full throttle is applied is missing. This should then go to yellow then red after 5 minutes/

  • On board checklist is missing.

  • Preflight stall/fire warning in the initialisation is missing.

I think I may have found a bug but I’m wondering if someone can test this.

I have a button on my HOTAS assigned to the toggle landing lights. This mapping works on other aircraft but it does not work on the vision jet.

I’m just wondering if the toggle button doesn’t work for this aircraft as far as key mappings go.

Is FlightFX is behind this aircraft

Yep. It’s a bit of a con. They led people to believe you were getting the full aircraft but you got an independent copy that has a different feature set and isn’t supported by FlightFX. (Go to their discord and they say just that - don’t post here for support on the ‘Microsoft’ version).

I already had the FlightFX version so not personally affected but I hate such disingenuous methods by companies.

Yeah, I really expected the same plane and not one with fewer features.

So does our old payware version work in 24? Have not tried it yet. Will it need to be patched for compatibility and if so, I may have to wait as a MP customer. Thanks for any info (not on discord, thanks).

As far as I know yes. They talked about it on a dev update stream a while ago, they took it of the Marketplace because it was going to be included in 2024.

The FX version from 2020 works pretty flawless for me in 2024, it is far superior and I have not touched the standard version.

Yes. Mine showed up in my hangar. Guess I’d bought it through the Marketplace at the time.

Can you use it in the Career mode?

It’s one of my favorite planes to fly. Just the turning speed of the altitude knob on Xbox is a bit too low. Systems work very well, aside from the Safe Return feature which does seem to activate the system, but can’t actually find airports. Even when you’re close to one. But overall a great plane!

Personal Comments and Observations

2020 Version Aircraft must be specifically certified and coded for Career use. Third Party makers can submit their planes for consideration, but migrated planes from 2020 would not automatically have that rating.
