[MSFS2024] Cirrus SR22T

WILCO, I saw this specific one last night (strobes) and have not entered it yet… I will shortly.

Many thanks!

Cheers.

Could not duplicate the same strobe light issue previously observed above. Now, I only get one quick flash on each of the wingtips. It does not matter what position the Strobe light switch is in.

I will continue to monitor to see if this develops further…

I tried to replicate this last night as well and could not do so.

Links have been added above (Feb 28) as requested.

Cheers.

The good news is I already spent several hours yesterday going through 2024 SR22T open bugs and requesting escalations. Several of the ones on your list are bugs I have escalated to the CM’s and they should get them to “Feedback Logged” in a week or two.

The bad news is, several other bugs you listed are not SR22T bugs, but a mixture of avionics bugs, general sim bugs that aren’t SR22T specific, or are logged as wish list items and not bugs. So, technically speaking they are outside of my plane-only bug crusade, and I can only do so much.

Here’s a summary:

Forum Post Status
SR22 Idle RPM higher than pre-Beta Archived SU4 Beta, so not active. Re-open?
COMM 2 radio does not stop audio when de-selected or frequency is changed (e.g. Checking ATIS on COMM 2) Avionics bug, not plane bug.
ATC Communication windows cannot be moved from one monitor to another without losing menu functionality Not a plane bug
No visual queues on status of Autopilot, COMM/NAV selections on the GCU stack. Escalation requested.
Last digit of COMM frequency (i.e. 127.125) cannot be entered via GCU479 numeric keys Escalation requested, but being tracked in different bug: SR22 COMM Frequency - Last digit can not be entered via keypad
Stby instruments too bright at night (not dimmable) Escalation requested.
PFD Nearest Airports list is not being updated (MFD Nearest Airports works correctly) Avionics bug, not plane bug.
Unrealistic ATC descend request (i.e. 100’) during flight. Not a plane bug
ILS approach should not command both NAV receivers to switch to the ILS frequency. Not logged yet.
Transponder code should not be entered automatically (should be an Assistance option). Wishlist, not a plane bug.
PUMP BKUP and O2 switches should be OFF; defaults to ON (Dark Cockpit). Escalation requested.
Dirty aircraft wheels pants and muddy tires should not be there unless grass field ops Escalation requested.
Multiple aircraft copilot / Pax not sitting correctly in the right seat. Not SR22T specific, general sim bug. I think there are multiple posts/issues open about passenger location issues.
SR22T - Windshield Freezes - No Visibility - Cannot defrost Escalation requested.
SR22T G6 - TOGA & Flight Director functionality not correct. Already feedback logged state, but this bug is tagged as MSFS2020, not MSFS2024.

You had mentioned you were in « bug hunting mood » so I included a few extra ones… LOL.

You did awesome work on the follow-up of all these. It’s very nice to see and greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

Best regards!

Duplicated the strobe lights issue again this evening. See following steps:

  1. I loaded a SimBrief flight plan CYHZ-CYYC, live weather / Time (at night).

  2. Removed canopy cover, etc., started aircraft and took-off with Beyond ATC assistance.

  3. Upon Departure and passing about 350’ AGL a second set of strobe lights came on alternating from left to right at a rate of 1 second at each wing tips. Note: This can also be seen in external view mode.

  4. Switching OFF the Landing Gear Lights stopped this alternating strobe. Switching back ON the Landing lights during cruise also triggered it back on.

  5. Coming in on Final, all lights ON, the alternating strobe lights turned themselves OFF at about 250’ AGL.

Note: This anomaly only happened in flight. Could not duplicate on the ground.

A web search revealed this:

“Above 300ft the pulsing ‘wig-wag’ strobe lighting functions provide clear visibility to other aircraft. On approach to land, the wig-wag lights operate down to 300ft above the surface and then automatically change to continuous landing lights below that height”

New feature on the SR22 with SU5?

No idea but the clip I posted is from a real world review of an SR22 in 2018.

The full article is here: Flight Test: Cirrus SR-22 GTS G6 - Pilot

No, the automatic wig-wag system has been implemented in the aircraft since being upgraded from the SR22 to the SR22T in MSFS 2020 AAU.

This closes the loop, excellent! Thanks for the feedback.

Cheers.

Would you know who is the contact for the avionics bugs?

It would be great to have the two avionics bugs above (COMM 2 audio and PFD Nearest Airports) “escalated” as well.

Cheers.

For the Cirrus specifically, yes. Working Title. They have a Discord server with a dedicated SR-22 channel.

Although those two bugs might live in the region between avionics and systems. So you might not get a full resolution there.
