MSFS2024 Crashes to desktop after xx minutes, between 10 and 20 minutes. Application Error

These are the instructions I got from Zendesk:

Note : Uninstall MSFS2024 before doing the following steps.

  1. Open Command Prompt as Administrator: Right-click on the Start button and select Command Prompt (Admin) or Windows PowerShell (Admin).
  2. Run DISM Command: Type DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and press Enter. This process can take some time to complete.
  3. Run SFC Command: After the DISM command completes, type sfc /scannow and press Enter. This will scan and repair any corrupted system files.

I recommend you check if your Windows is up to date (How to update my Windows), after checking that, please follow the next steps:

  1. Open the Microsoft Store and sign into your Microsoft account.
  2. Click on your library and click on get updates and install the updates available.
  3. If the Xbox app is not installed, please search for the app and install it, also, install the Xbox Insider Hub app.
  4. Go to previews and looks for PC Gaming and Game Bar SDK Development and when you already joined, you need to follow the step #2 (Click on your library).

Note: If this is the first time to download the insider app, please just complete feedback and then wait until you receive the previews.

  • Process to install the game.
  1. Open the Xbox app and install the Gaming Services (You will receive a prompt to install it), if you didn’t receive it, please use the manual option to install it.
  2. Check if your drivers are up to date.
  3. Install the Sim.
  4. Try to launch the Sim.
