[MSFS2024] De Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver

Bendix still not working for me. Amphibs still stuck in the ashphalt. Fuel boost still doesn’t work. :person_shrugging:

I fully agree, forcing us to use a skip to decent when the fuel is almost gone.

It’s supposed to be easy. It’s just broken.

It actually works in some planes.

the 737 - for some reason - refuels correctly suing the refuel feature before a mission.

It also remembers persistently the remaining fuel across multiple missions ( important to keep this in mind ).

So if I full up the 737 on one flight, and use 30% of my fuel in the first flight.

I start my next flight with 30% less fuel - unless manually add more.

So ( as far as I am aware ) - the 737 might be the only aircraft currently in the sim where the fuel system actually friggen works - I assume persistantly remembering what fuel you have remaining across multiple flights is what MS intended for all planes in career.

It’s very inconsistent now across planes.

The beaver gets a horrible default an it doesnt remember its state.
Most other planes don’t persist remaining fuel either.

Most other planes the pre-mission fueling doesnt work either - unless you load into mission, and THEN restart the mission ( bruh ).

But yeah - the 737 is the only plane I have seen so far not only WORK when I refuel it, but also persistently keep its fuel contents across multiple missions.

I have two 737s currently after selling the rest off, and each of them remember their own fuel amounts independently of each other too - which is amazing for a badly made airliner…

Hi everyone, has anyone encountered the problem that the lighting in the DHC-2 not working? The problem started in the simupdate 1 beta, but as I see now, it has migrated to the released simupdate 1

Could the devs please repair the Beaver, which is more broken since first Beta SU1? The Bendix AP isn’t working since the 1st Beta.

DHC-2 Cargo Bug, it show no Cargo inside Plane, other Cargo Planes like Cessna 172 Skyhawk show Cargo.

It’s quite sad for those who enjoy flying the Beaver.
In MSFS 2020, we have the amazing free addon from Got Friends, the 40th Anniversary Expansion, and on top of that, we had the free addon from EzRyder, the deHavilland Beaver Cargo, which allowed plenty of cargo configurations inside the Beaver.

Unfortunately, it seems the Got Friends team won’t be creating anything similar for the Beaver in MSFS 2024.

this plane is worst in 2024 as the majority of vintage planes… almost two months for bendix bug and nobody cares to solve

The EFB on the 2020 version was really good. Allowing you to change passangers/cargo, radios/GPS (and other cosmetics like visible cargo) version with a click.

Now we have like 10 version to pick on the menu, a total step back.

Can you please report this as bug I completely agree

Besides not being able to complete a cargo run in Career Mode for the lack of fuel. After SU1 you can no longer start the DHC-2 without using auto-start function. A manual start like you would use on any complex single engine aircraft will not start the plane, using the Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo. You can crank the engine and have your mixture rich and it turns over tries to start but stops and tries again but will not fire. The same setup works fine on any other complex single engine aircraft. Yes I have tried almost every control binding that I thought might work.

So I haven’t tried this after SU1, but do you have fuel pressure on the gauge? Sounds like it isn’t getting any fuel if it doesn’t fire up.

I will look, although the switch for the fuel pump does not function. You click on it and it will not move. I looked to see if it is bound to any switch on the Bravo but didn’t see anything.

The fuel flow goes up then goes back down while the starter is engaged. It doesn’t continue to have pressure. When I have done a flight in Career Mode I noticed that the fuel flow was saying 50 pounds per hour. When using that number and the block fuel on board there should have been lots of fuel to get to the destination. But it has to be using a lot more than indicated cause it ran out way to soon on a 1 hour flight.
