The transparency issue must be some kind of bug on about half the included planes. You can see it on many planes from the main menu. Some of the planes have crystal clear windshields in the menu and then many others have windows that appear fogged in the main menu. Sure enough, if you load any of the planes that appear fogged in the menu you get intense sun scattering that ruins the view from the cockpit.
