[MSFS2024] Heart Aerospace ES-30

I am in the process of editing a full flight video with a flight plan from Zurich to Bern (72nm). Second video in a series of three. Video 1 link is below.
Yes, the plane definitely needs work. The main aspect for me is the lack of power on the takeoff roll. No way this plane can lift off with just electric engines for the advertised short field distance of 1100m (3600ft). Extremely long takeoff roll is required with all 4 engines to reach the Vr of 130 kts.
Autopilot works very well and no issues with the flight plan entry into the FMS. Flight modeling and handling in the air is very good. Landing gear lights are not working.

The NAV mode from the Autopilot dosent work at all. So basically unusable in the Careee mode. I am really pissee off. I Paid 3.7 Mil for this ■■■■

Besides all the bugs mentioned above. Why create such detailed passenger cabin and even the restroom if the only way to view it is in drone mode? Please let us view the cabin from internal view as in most other aircraft

Autopilot and NAV mode work as they should. Here is video 2 demonstrating the smooth performance controlled by the autopilot.

Nice.

Altho more of a concept than a real airplane, it’s fun to mess around in.

I think more people would enjoy it, if just taken less seriously.

Reality hits home in 2025 if all goes to plan. Heart Aerospace to Conduct First Fully Electric Experimental Flight in Plattsburgh, NY | Heart Aerospace

Lacking the Saab 340 (that you will not let me buy), this is one of the planes I want to like. I want to fly it. I want to shout its praises from the skies. But trying to fly a short hop in Norway has been made impossible (Having tried four different missions and spent the better part of the night being more and more frustrated over it) because I have no idea if the plane will just launch itself backwards for some unknown purpose.

I have tried everything down to shutting down the engines manually before taxi and it does not work.

The state of this aircraft and especially during take-off and scripted events in career is unacceptable. That is remains a problem a month after release is unacceptable.

Going off career, I am going to list the main issues:

  • The Aircraft launches itself backwards in a cutscene and sometimes when you release the brakes; this regardless what setting you have your throttle and breaks in. Once it happened when I shut off my engines just to try and avoid this issue.

  • You are given flights that exceed this aircraft maximal range. Going off trial and error, I say the maximum range of this aircraft is 200 NM. Beyond that, the internal battery usually runs out. If you are not wheels down when this happens, your only option is abort the mission, restart the mission or crash.

  • The irony is that its not even the electrical engines that is the problem since you always have the turbo-props as backups. The main problem is the low voltage battery that cannot for some reason be powered by the turboprops and if that runs out, you are truly screwed since you cannot lower your landing gear.

I feel sorry for Heart Aerospace because this was genuinely a good way for them to introduce their aircraft to the greater public and in the end, the aircraft is hindered by issues they have absolutely no control over.

Please pay more attention to this airplane and fix the lingering issues; especially as it is currently the only viable alternative to purchase for career flights if you run your own company.

Yes I agree completely with all of this.

In career mode the plane has huge bugs, in my experience it’ll kick you out of 9/10 missions in career mode right at the start, saying pre flight steps were not completed, there is nothing you can do about it, sometimes when it does this it’ll also wreck your landing gear for you.

If you are lucky, and are actually able to progress in a career mode mission past in dumping you out, the plane actually does (mostly) work ok, however the low voltage battery has a rediculously short lifespan, and as you say, once that is depeleted you are screwed, even if you high voltage battery still have 80% charge left.

What is also frustrating though is this is effectively the “starter” plane, for starting up a passenger company, and it’s completely broken.

Boy oh boy there’s a lot of issues with this plane, first off, warning to career mode players, don’t buy it!

The high voltage and low voltage batteries don’t recharge and once they die your plane crashes even with full fuel. As far as I can tell there are no generator switches on any of the panels.

Flight planner approach procedure doesn’t seem to work, it just stays on direct to airport, activate vectors to final works.

MFD screen wont show map or weather, it stays stuck on “getting gps position” even when the PFD has the gps map working.

Heads up display doesn’t work, I tried 0 to 100% brightness, there’s no on/off button.

And like others have said Engine Auto Start doesn’t work, the only way to start it is by the checklist.

I also got engine malfunctions at full throttle, not sure if that was pilot error or not.

Don’t fall into this trap in career mode, keep saving up for the 737 instead.

I made the mistake of buying this horror, why didn’t we all just put the ATR in place of this thing

Yeah, most people (including me) end up here after buying it and googling the bugs. Any idea when this will be fixed and how to stay updated? Really sad state of affairs
 :frowning:

Found out that if you turn on external power to low and hi voltage (upper side of cockpit) and turn off batteries you can conserve power, but the engine 3 will not run on ext power, only engine 2, so you’re going quite slow and use a lot of fuel. Disable them only after reaching cruise level or crash

Thanks! I thought i was going mad, whole plane shutdown mid flight and i couldn’t get it started again had no idea how that happened.
Looks like i’ll shelve it until it’s fixed

All missions when using this aircraft is bugged, drives away on it’s own causing mission failure, toggles throttle reverse of it own even though you’ve keybound it, landing gear stops working .
And yes the plane is fully maintained to good status.
And if non of this happens the game encountera unexpected errors.
I play on Xbox and no matter what workaround you use, this plane breaks the sim.

The main issue on this aircraft (like many other) is data performence sheet is wrong

In Game Stat : 703 nm / 1302km

According Heart Aerospace marketing Team :

The ES-30 is a regional hybrid-electric airplane with a standard seating capacity of 30
passengers, which promises to deliver unparalleled sustainability and efficiency on short-haul
routes. With an electric zero-emission range of 200 kilometres and an extended hybrid range of
400 kilometres.

So : 400km is 215nm

This is just a UI Bug, need fixe like other aircraft

Maybe I did something wrong but I tried this in Free Flight because it was the only one I could realistically buy for my passenger airline company, once I started climbing my engines would not stop revving and eventually I would “crash” because “my engines failed”.

This plane is missing brightness adjust for the displays, they are too bright when flying late evening or at night :frowning:

I don’t think that has anything to do with the bugs, but that’s usual. If you check the other aircraft, most of them are either incorrect, or their fuel usage is incorrect. It was that way in 2020 - so nothing changed. They just put in weird default numbers that mean nothing.

One of the best examples are the P51’s for Reno that all listed 298 nm. Not remotely realistic.
