And the best part is… Ít doesn’t even work with Xbox Controller (fine tune input’s curve menu not responding).

It does work, you just have to do it when you are in the aircraft, because you can’t enable cursor mode outside of that.

And the average user is supposed to know that? The whole UI is a MESS.

No it doesn’t. I am in cursor mode sitting in aircraft and when I enter the settings mode the cursor disappears!
I don’t mind UI changes in general, what I find bizarre is when they take things away that were there before.
I’m hopeful for 2024 into the future, but I really dislike the trend now days of game releases in a poor state.
What’s more is shouldn’t we building on what was before, 2020 was a fine sim, still had issues here and there but it was solid overall.
Why do we then get a new version 4 nearly 5 years later thats in a worse state, riddled with bugs.
The streaming and servers aside, I just find it really poor how its not possible to build on solid foundations, isn’t that the idea?
