I was just wondering why every time I start MSFS2024, I have some updates running, one 8kb and another of 71.2Mb. Do you have the same?

Same 2 downloads today, I can’t figure out why? I have the same thing by using the Xbox I have 2 updates before it will launch the game.

for first, I have never seen this at my sim but from screenshot is clear that some sim component is missing, looks like. The checkbox Run sim after ready says it. It looks to me from very basic look as not correct some disk data write or network fail but sry, this is my pure opinion. What is maybe just a guess from first look is that you both have own language selected to your sim, not default English. I’m afraid if some HW fails with some data management (disk???). Really have no idea. At my side, I’ll try for first disable all addons and do test. Interesting is that this little window has focus priority so try check Task manager within this load procedure to see some atypical something but probably the best option with this strange situation is call Zendesk support. I don’t recommend reinstall because it looks to me like some post process/data flow failure and it will probably starts again, as you’ve reported. Hope in case of success you’ll report here what cause it was. Good luck…

I’ve always used the default English language setting for the simulator. This German language on the download window is, because the German windows 11 and Xbox app.
I haven’t changed, installed, or deleted a single thing on my simulator, yet suddenly, almost every time I launch it, this 3.1 GB download pops up three times in a row. I have this problem even with an empty Community folder.
I’m increasingly losing interest in using this annoying 2024 simulator. There’s constantly some new issue, even though I haven’t changed a thing. Lately, I’ve gone back to using good old MSFS 2020; I enjoy it more, and it doesn’t cause me any frustration.

but we will have some joy with this version not so long time because it is expected also that a new update to FS2020 version is on the way. You can only guess what feelings going inside my head with this situation, after 6 years with Asobo flight sim product.
Strangely, yesterday, I’ve made a repair, which told me that the sim would be reset to default parameters, but to my surprise, nothing had changed. All my setting were still there, and no more update at MSFS 2024 start…
strangely MSFS 2024 loads only around 1500 simobject at start now, instead of over 4000 that it loaded before… There is a mystery that I can explain 
And I have every aircraft or external scenery in game…
That sounds like you had an AI library which used to be loaded, FSLTL or AIG, which no longer is.
In fact, I had FSTL that I’ve uninstalled now. Thanks, you’ve cleared the matter for me.
