MSFS2024 - Limited Collector's Edition not before December?

All that is needed,

Aerosoft need to send activation codes electronically to the customers prior or at the time of the release of MSFS 2024
(they have our details - including Username/Gamertag)

If they can manage this - I think the vast majority will be ok with a couple of weeks delay getting the Limited Edition stuff.

Another option of course if for those (me included) who did pre purchase the limited edition - can use GamePass - but that will limit us to the Standard Edition and not the Aviators edition

Would it be possible for the MSFS Community Team to flag this issue?

Sure that seems reasonable enough to me.

It’d be no craic having to wait needlessly when there’s several solutions available. Maybe we’ll get a temporary license from Microsoft or Gamepass etc


All the extra bits and pieces I can wait for, no bother.

It is possible the physical products contain all items - including the activation codes. If this is the case - and depending on which party is in control of it - then it might be up to MS to try and sort.

I reckon a solution will be made - and all will be well in the realm once again.

I Hope an official announcement from Microsoft here to calm down the crisis. A temporary activation code is fine for me, and reimbursement of the difference between normal and express delivery.

I am furious as anybody here.

However, no matter what, no one will get any kind of reimbursement for the “slower” delivery. It will still ship using Express delivery service, just as paid for. You’ll just get it few days faster SINCE IT LEAVES THE WAREHOUSE than I am, I paid for standard. One day more doesn’t mean a difference to me and I’m most likely to get it on the same day the express folks.

The express shipment is to be sure to get it on day one. They are failing to that, I would not bought it with express shipment if i knew they were late. Anyway, they are free to refuse it and user in europe are free to ask for a full refund. So having a reimbursement for the express shipment (they can use the non express if they want to and a temporary activation code is the minimal compromise). Otherwise refund and i buy another full online edition.

No, not really. I don’t think it has been said anywhere that ONLY the express delivery would get it on day one. In fact, it has been confirmed by AS before in some other posts here that all preorders will be shipped in timely manner to make sure everyone gets their goods on day one at best. Not in any official statement though as far as I know. Express shipping only affects the speed of delivery between their warehouse and you, not the actual shipment date.

Ok then just a refund. It is fine.

Am affected as well. To say I am disappointed would be a lie, because AS has had a bad communication also with the Honeycomb Charlie Pedals. So, if at all, I am dissapointed with AS, because their advertising didn’t start six months ago, but end of September 2024, when it should’ve been obvious if or if not the schedules could be met. Luckily other real world chores are,keeping me busy meanwhile

Why am I not surprised 


I even hesitated taking this collector edition seeing it was handled by Aerosoft. (Twin Otter : fail, A330 : fail, and now this)
I am really considering cancelling my pre-order and switching for the Steam version by the same occasion.

No way I am paying 28.99€ shipping for something coming late :rage: not to mention the preorder date being September 26th. not like it was yesterday.

I just received a email from Aerosoft that even though I purchased the Limited Collectors Edition the day the pre-purchase option was announced, they can not deliver it as promised on release day.
Not only that, they did not even give an expected delivery date.

Someone truly doesn’t understand what people expect when they pre-buy.
Totally disappointed by that Aerosoft email.
Totally ridiculous, not even a word if a download option will be available and then the package will deliver at some point later.

Look up customer service folks
.because this ain’t it.

I placed the order on Aerosoft Shop on September 19th and to date it is still “unmanaged” and today I also received an email with the communication of the shipment not before December.
As far as I’m concerned they can keep it, I just asked for order cancellation and refund!

The only FAIR thing Aerosoft can do is to RUFUND OUR EXPRESS SHIPPING COSTS. We paid for a release date delivery so NO excuses for keeping our Express Delivery costs.

The stupid thing about all this is that the activation code is useless until it’s launched anyway.

They could ship at any time ahead of the 19th, no one would be able to play the game any sooner.

I queried AS yesterday as to when the collectors edition would be shipped. This morning at 07.30 I received a reply to say it would be shipped prior to release day and hopefully depending on courier should arrive on release day. At 15.03 received a second email stating that there was a delay. Seems as one hand does not know what the other is doing.
A complete farce. I agree with others in that MS should give free access to game pass ultimate as an apology.

I mean 280 EUR is not little money for the product. Thinking deeper on this matter, I have to agree that a solution has to be found for customers.
