After Aerosoft had clarified on their Discord, that they are indeed sending out the gamertags twice a day to Microsoft and that the activation of the Aviator tokens is part of Microsofts work and not theirs (they specifically said that the statement of the screenshot of the ms/asobo support is incorrect), I opened a zendesk ticket towards Microsoft. Recommend that others that are still waiting for the promised aviators upgrade do the same (to clarify, this is not about the shipping delays in the US but the european customers that have the shipping delay for their LCE till december, that were promised an aviators upgrade 1-2 days after receiving the temporary gamepass).
Too bad Microsoft blaims Aerosoft for not providing the Gamer Tags. Aerosoft blaims Microsoft for not putting it through their system. I have tickets at both and they both say itâs not their problem.
I asked Aerosoft to provide the date and time they sent my gamertag to Microsoft, weâll see if the have the kahoonas to give it to me, so I can smack Microsoft with it
THIS is the main question. My guess is Microsoft wonât do that again for pre-orders that require shipping. While itâs Aerosoftâs fault they werenât open, honest, and apologetic for screwing up our expectations on shipping, it was a package created with Microsoft, so, how the code is delivered in future versions can change.
I did. I was told my package wouldnât be delayedâŠ

In the U.S., we donât believe in consumer protection, especially not anymore. Anyway, Iâm expecting mine tomorrow, finally. So, yes, U.S. shipments werenât AS delayed as those in EuropeâŠ
I knew who Aerosoft was, I had great trepidation in trusting their word it would be delivered before release dayâŠ
As noted, eh, I didnât miss much.
We all knew Aerosoft was not professional in the traditional sense. As we all know, they said multiple times it would be delivered before release date. Now the only thing I was told multiple times it was shipped on time as expected.
Same for me no aviator planes no great support received instead dumb recommendations⊠sry I canât play without bandwidth low message . No multiplayer planes visible- yes the option is turned on. Msfs support only tells me we canât look in your account. Aerosoft asks what was your order id- oh man I love the flying experience but this is very dissatisfying.
I had a similar situation except Aerosoft was not replying to me at all, and MicroSobo was pointing the finger at Aerosoft. Four days of nothing, and I finally replied more aggressively saying this isnât acceptable considering the amount weâve paid and are now delayed. I got a response asking for my Gamer Tag, location (country), and some other info. That was this morning. I just checked (approx 10 hrs later) and I now have access to all the Aviator Edition content. So the last ticket must have worked, and/or I got lucky with a service agent that decided to try something new or ask the right questions because they actually cared. So thank you whoever that was.
Therefore, Iâd have to agree and say that opening a ticket to Zendesk to have them look into it seems to be the key. I have as yet not heard a single word from Aerosoft.
Edited to add: Note that I was respectful to the service agent(s), although tried sternly to show my frustration. I didnât insult or âyellâ. And obviously I donât recommend being aggressive with them. They have a lot on their plates. So if you go with a Zendesk ticket, seems that it takes about 3-5 messages before they finally realize you arenât going away, so long as youâre polite.
Please Call USPS Office ok
Iâm not in the US. USPS has nothing to do with me.
I have submitted a ticket now so fingers crossed ![]()
It took a lot of work and pressure put on the Aerosoft support (sorry for that, had to be done), but just a few minutes ago they confirmed my specific gamertag has been submited to Microsoft on 20th of November (thank you again Ma***s if youâre reading here as well)
Now off to Microsoft to be annoying to them, as it clearly is more than 48 hours and I know for sure support works even on weekends. Latest I was asked to confirm my gamertag and to provide info if Iâm US or elsewhere. With that the support person sais will go and contact (nonexistent) Marketplace people.
So fingers crossed it will be sorted, just a week after launch⊠No big deal, right? Thatâs normal for a multibillion dollar company, isnât it?
EDIT the next morning: Late last night I received response from FS support, saying my info has been passed to Marketplace people. Just for giggles started the sim this morning and ALL the Aviator edition planes are there. SO if you still didnât receive the Standard to Aviator Upgrade, go and open a ticket at Microsoft, provide them with your gamertag and location (US or non-US) and donât get blown off, be persistent. Little caveat though, I was greeted with Setup screen and had to set my Assistance again. Graphics and character are were saved, other settings were not. If you messed with any control assignments, youâll have to switch back to that scheme, they were saved but not selected as active.
Had mine cancelled today successfully. Communication between me and AS was one sided, with no replies to any of my mail from them until I called up. They donât seem interested in customers satisfaction, nor on a good stable communication and rather cancel without and instead of getting in touch with the customer. I dont own the shop, nor those working, but in such cases where a lot goes wrong I - and not only myself - at least want answers to questions beyond what was written on the website.
Wonât likely order there anymore and am not convinced by streaming only FS, to be hones, hence why Iâll remain with FS20 for now. Might return next year. At least they let me keep the Gamers Pass as a gesture of good will and apology.
Kind regards.
FYI, today an upgrade to the Aviator Edition appeared on my game account, even though I havenât contacted MSFS support.
Have many people still NOT received their upgrade to Aviator Edition?
Iâm still on the standard Game Pass edition and Iâm dying to fly the C-17 and the Saab. Werenât we promised the upgrade within a day or two of running the sim for the first time?
Aerosoft has my Gamer Tag etc.
Create a Microsoft ticket, provide them with your gamertag and location (US or non-US) and donât get blown off, be persistent.
I would assume so ⊠at least it applies to me.
Somehow I think that I might receive the Collectors box faster then the Aviator upgrade.
But then ⊠somehow I do not really care. I âfoundâ the Vision Jet ⊠and I guess it will be a very useful sightseeing aircraft until the Osprey gets its proper FS2024 upgrade.
Same here. No Aviator upgrade, no Collectors box.
Hope this is not a scam⊠![]()
Iâve said it a few times. If you have not received the Aviator upgrade, GO AND OPEN MICROSOFT TICKET, provide them with your gamertag and location (US or non-US) and donât get blown off, be persistent.
This worked for me a few days ago, I was asked kindly and one day after then i fired up msfs24 I had all my Aviator content ![]()
The Aviator content was no problem for me - I basically had it on day 1 (EU customer), probably due to the gamertag already provided for the CL-415 on MSFS2020.
What concerns me more is that weâre now roughly halfway through the month of Game Pass Ultimate provided to bridge the gap until the LC arrives - With no news from Aerosoft yet. I donât want to lose access to the sim (even in its rough shape) once the Christmas holidays are here and me having time to fully jump into it.
Yayh ! December is here finally !
Canât wait to see my LCE edition in my mail box tomorrow ![]()
âŠ
Meanwhile on Aerosoft website : order not processed.

In the âOrder Statusâ column it says âYour order has not been processed yetâ. I hope they meant December 2024 for shipping MSFS 2024 Collectorâs Edition, not December 2025 ![]()
