[MSFS2024] Pilatus PC-12 NGX

I am seeing this as well. Also I don’t see how in career mode I can load the EFB plan to avionics. Once starting the flight I cannot in any way, shape or form figure out how to get anything loaded into the flight plan. I get an error that anything I enter is invalid. Source is always Pilot and no way to change that either.

I’ve had no issue using Send to Avionics from
the EFB - you just need to activate the flight plan on the PFD after.

Don’t see one on the PFD - note that this is in career mode.

Yep, I’ve almost exclusively flown the PC-12 in Career, so it works. I’ll share some screenshots when I can.

The centre MFD will pop open a box with a large word “ACTIVATE” in it. Click on that and your flight ploan will appear. That is bearing in mind, you have - prior to accepting the flight - in your EFB scroled down until after the destination airport, clicked SEND to AVIONICS. wait a few seconds until it lights up again , choose your FL too before, then close EFB, accept mission. Then again once that loads in open EFB again and send to avionics and when you enter plane do the same again. I always do it 3x to ensure it gets there. Then the planes avionics will show the ACTIVATE button on the screen. It is one of the easiest flight planning systems. Then scroll and check you have no discontinuities.

In preflight you can attempt to Send Route to Avionics from the EFB after double checking your flight plan

However, in my experience, that will result in a completely empty FMS in the aircraft after startup

However, if you open the EFB after starting the plane and then hit Send Route to Avionics, the MFD will change to this

And then, once you press Activate, this (zoomed out with EFB route to compare)

Anyone has a nice checklist of the pc-12 he can share with all the specs and speeds on it?

Got it for my vision jet but cant find any decent for the pc-12

I think failing to pre-populate the MFD flightplan by sending from the EFB when the MFD is SWITCHED OFF is probably what we want in a simulator that aspires to realism, right?

JayDee has a Checklist for the SWS PC-12 here: SimWork Studios Pilatus PC-12/47 - Checklist & Procedures para Microsoft Flight Simulator | MSFS I use his checklists a lot, they’re quite good and complete.

Thanks…is it for the ngx?

I’m afraid it isn’t, the SWS is a previous version, but probably it will be very close

Absolutely - this functionality doesn’t bother me in the slightest, just trying to walk through what the other user might be doing to result in the perception that it can’t accept an imported route.

Yes and No. A Company may have some Airline Dispatchers who create and send flight plans. When pilots arrive they may already have the plan in the FMS or they may receive them via FMS. Pilots can modify them in case of needs. They can also select a plan from their Company routes.

When i have loaded the flight plan from the EFB to the aircraft, how do you change the climb and descent speeds in the FMS and also the altitudes you want to be at certain points in the flight plan. I cant seem to find a way to do this manually.

You can set your default cruise attitude and speed by clicking on the flat plane icon on the left middle of the MFD, then Alt/Spd subtab. Click in the box with a number and your keyboard should activate for direct typing, or use the touch screen controller (TSC) on the panel below the MFD.

I can’t find anywhere to change the default FLC climb speeds, the FMS is set to 140/130kt (depending on altitude, I think). Descent speed is similarly defined by the FMS, I haven’t found a page to edit that. You can always put the auto-throttle into Manual mode to override the FMS.

As for choosing specific altitudes and speeds: click on a waypoint in the flight plan, and a big menu will pop up. Pick the ‘Cross’ choice, and you’ll get a dialog. This will let you manually edit speeds and altitude restrictions, and the FMS will follow them.

As for descent slope, it seems to always pick a 3 degree descent, though I think you can edit that for specific waypoints using the same Cross menu used for speed/alt. I can’t find a default page.

There’s a whole series of helpful YouTube videos put out by Honeywell Aerospace Technologies (@HoneywellAviation), for the real aircraft (PC-12 and PC-24). Not all features they mention are implemented in-game, but it’s still very useful to see.

My question is for pc-12 and pc-24 autopilot procedures.

Sometimes i have to cancel my rnav aproach because of an obstacle (mountain etc) in the last fase of my decent. How do i get back on the vpath after this?

I did a few career flight’s vip and msfs send me to some dark runways without any lightning in bad weather. Very short runway , pitch dark.

I had to do a go around because i did not see the runway. The windows of the pc-12 and pc-24 are tinted so this is also a disadvantage.
What is the best way to executed a go-arround with a vnav plan? Had to execute a direct to to the RX waypoint but that was close to the airport.

And why ismy co-pilot in career mode doing nothing as a co-pilot during the flight? Only patronizing and telling me condescending when and what i forget. Better leave him at home and save fuel

Any tips?

Okay - this actually worked (needed to hit esc to get out of VR to load). Oddly, after I did this for one flight the next one was loaded.

This is on the wishlist. No CRM here.

Good to hear…You have an link so i can vote it up?

Ive had a couple of dark airstrips - I have to exit the cockpit and land from outside, the light seems to be better and the landing lights help to visualise the strip. Now I make sure I check the time of day I take off to ensure I land in daylight for strips.
