[MSFS2024] Pilatus PC-6 B2

it’s hilarious to me that the person responsible for the PC6 development made a fool of himself in a pre-launch video where he demonstrated he knows exactly 0, nothing. He got asked exactly this question and he didn’t know what people were talking about. MS should just get the Blackbird plane and cut all ties with Hans Hartmann. Dude had years to fix the PC-6 and we’re still in this situation on the most basic features.

I fly the Porter in real life, there is no PC6 in MSFS that is close to the real one…very sad

I always felt the Milviz/Blackbird one had very weird flight dynamics, but better systems. The Asobo one just feels like a generic Cessna with a turboprop. It’s like a C208B tail dragger.

Have you tried the Thranda one in XP? It’s very good, better than Blackbird, at least to me, a non-pilot. Thranda planes are in general outstanding. I fly both sims, but MS is definitely a necessity in some areas like New Guinea, and the Porter has to be the plane of choice no matter what.

Really hope the no trim will be fixed soon. This game should have been MFS 2025. Released way to early. Countless problems :frowning:

Not much to add. . . Except tailwheel lock, a consistent issue with MSFS 2024 trail draggers (See P-51 Mustang). It is not as much of an issue with lower-powered single engine planes, but with this much torque going through the propellor, asymmetric propellor wash on the fuselage etc., tailwheel lock is really, really helpful for keeping it on the runway during takeoff.

Can´t set XPDR … when i try to click a number, it sends that numer 3 times.
HDG Knob at the left Display didn´t work.

■■■■ … what a buggy mess is this sim?!

The PC-6 has not received much attention since the launch of Flight Simulator 2024. We explore the frozen lake feature with live weather and demonstrate a short flight landing on Lake Brienz in Switzerland. Not all lakes are frozen with live weather. Some lakes are only frozen along the shoreline and other lakes may have open water at one end of the lake.

I follow the preflight, engine startup, and after startup checklists. Sometimes the G1000 screens are blank. I end the flight, start up in he G1000 Cessna 172 and when I return to the Pilatus PC-6 both G1000 display screens are on. I have been trying to fly from WAYY to remote landing strips but never make it before I get an “engine malfunction”. I always back off the throttle to about 90 percent once at altitude, but the engine always shut’s down on me. The airplane as it has been developed is totally unreliable.
