I have not been able to fly this the last couple of days, it crasches the game. Worked in the beginning.
Interestingly I had this very issue this morning. Whenever I selected the R66 in the helicopters menu it defaulted to an aircraft I had never used or selected before instead rapidly followed by a CTD. 6 times it happened, then on the 7th attempt it worked normally. No idea what was going on and itās my only CTD in fs2024 so far.

I had CTD the first day when trying to select helicopters from the menu too. The R66 was missing at first, but I havenāt had any issues since. Iām pretty sure that this comes down to the connection/streaming problem.
I canāt wait for full marketplace functionality so we can have our regularly used content local instead of everything streamed.

I canāt wait for any marketplace functionality. We presently have nothing. Why have this functionality in the marketplace though? IMO Marketplaces are where you go to buy stuff, it should all be in āMy Libraryā and have a straight list of items on one page with very simple toggle switches of ādisabledā, āinstalledā, āstreamedā.

How do you all rate this R66 compared to the cowansim R66? From my perspective (just a casual heli simmer but running with no assists). I think I prefer this one, but maybe itās just FS2024 flight model, as even the other Asobo helis (Cabri and Bell 407) feel better in F2024 than they did in FS2020. I jumped in the 407 today and it felt so much more interesting to fly. I donāt think I ever felt that way about it in fs2020.

Tried flying, but the throttle was moving on its own without any conflicting bindings, was reducing the rotor rpm uncomanded. The rotor also spins clockwise where as the R66 main rotor should spin anti-clockwise. Seems like a fixable issues. Those things aside the helicopter looks great!

Today the game didnt crash when I started a flight with the R66, and what A flight it was!
This is a really good helicopter!
It has its strange forces you gotta fight, but thank God not the Asobo FM yaw to the right so many choppers have ( it has a roll to the right instead but I can live with that ) and its stable and easy to land!
Really enjoyable.
The overal shape of the 3d model looks better on the cowan I think, or am I just used to that? and the details isnt as good as the h125, but that looks crazy real!
But I wish all helis in 2020/2024 flew kinda like this.
I am so tired of all these FM, its like nobody knows how a chopper actually flies so we have 25 interpretations of it and few if any gets it right.

Now itās not showing up for me in the aircraft selection window. Makes me wonder what other content Iām missing.

It doesnāt show up under all aircraft for some reason. Only shows up under helicopters. I have no idea why.
Select the Cessna Skycourier, then go to variants. You will find the R66 there if itās missing elsewhere. @BragRaindrop933 @phobos8287

Interestingly when I searched for r66 a few days ago I kept getting the skycourier, then followed by several ctds. Iām glad that those ctds stopped but interesting coincidence with their erroneous variant.
I hope their listing gets fixed. You do find the r66 every time under the helicopter filter though.

I (often) get CTDs when selecting the Helicopter tab. I just use the All tab now and so far so good (even if it does mean going via the SkyCourier 
).

I also like the Robbie but find it grossly underpowered. Iāve never flown an R66 but I do have a bit of time in the slightly less powerful R44. The -44 easily handles 110 KIAS+ at moderate weights and pulling no more than MCT. The MSFS -66 requires a pull to close to redline torque.

The R66 requires full anti torque during autorotation in MSFS. Oops!
Iāve had the same issue with the R66. Even when spawning in the air. The engine always shuts down on me and I havenāt been able to fly it. The H125 works fine, minus the trim not working. Have you found a fix for this yet?
I just had another user on YT point out to me something that I canāt believe I missedā¦
The main rotor is spinning backwards. When I started it from cold and dark, I glanced up to see that the rotors started moving when they should, but completely missed the fact that itās turning backwards.
The blades are modeled correctly, but they are turning with the trailing edge first.
They should be turning counterclockwise when viewed from above.

You must be under the blade socks. You must be underneath blade socks. You can not remove far away.
