This aircraft is a prime candidate to be included in the career mode.

Suitable missions are:

  • Air Advertising as the Saab 17 was used as a Target Tug
  • Sightseeing Missions for people to experience this old warbird first hand.

Despite owning this aircraft in MSFS 2020, it does not show up amongst my owned aircraft.

I have a weird issue (FS2024), the plane is working nicely but the engine sound never changes, I mean even at full throttle/fine pitch, the engine sound like it’s idling. Anyone else has this problem ?

I have checked a Youtube review of the plane from the time it was released (so, in MSFS) and it did not have this issue.

I can confirm that this is still an issue in June 2025… I know it’s a legacy 2020 plane but just a shame the sound is corrupt :frowning:

Its the 17A that has the sound bug. Its from FS2020. Is the 17B in the FS2024 marketplace? Because I dont see it there. The Saab 17B is different from the 17A because the 17B has a different and less powerful engine than the 17A

It’s the same aircraft from MSFS 2020, there was no changes to MSFS 2024 for the Saab17

Here’s video of the sound glitch happening. It’s just wind noise. There is a topic on this issue already. Please fix this, its been about a year. Saab B.17 Only idle engine sound - #22 by diasse
