Same issue on Xbox sieries x also from Germany and with Telekom as provider, got 100 MBits dowload and also get the bandwidth message.
The world map dosent load properly 90% off the time and when it’s working its great but since the last update it got worse I feel.
It should be a server side problem.
I hope this get fixed soon
Hi,
Got the same connection error all day today with MSFS 2024.
Besides that I could not connect to MSFS 2020 either.
Went through all the steps in MS Store and X-Box app. No help.
Location is France.
Yeah, It’s been 4 days since my post here (MSFS2024 - Server Connection is absolutely unstable - #99 by BcBangemout), still can’t play!!! I noticed with the new update, there was a message about long startup times and a log… not sure where that log went… I offered it to MS Support.
That usually means an add-on package is not loading properly. There is a workaround here that resolves that particular issue. Works a treat.
I’ll try it soon and report back… meanwhile, MS Support proposed this:

Hi Barry,
Thank you for contacting Microsoft Flight Simulator Support today.
We are still investigating this issue. Unfortunately, we do not have any ETA when possible fixes will be pushed to the sim.
Since you have already tried to use VPN without success, we can only ask you to do the following to force the DRM registration to see if that would help with the situation.
Close MSFS 2024
Go to the “StreamedPackages” folder that is located here by default:
Xbox app/MS store
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\StreamedPackages
Steam
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\StreamedPackages
Delete all folders and files inside this folder
Launch MSFS 24 again.
Kind regards,
Microsoft Flight Simulator Support Team

Connection back to normal today. I guess that they worked on servers on monday that’s why it was buggy
And VIP missions are back
Did not help. Still bandwith issues today.
Yeah, still nothing is working here either… It’s been DAYS!!!
So, this is basically it… straight from MS Support:

That’s it. See you on the other side
If you are getting stuck at a high percentage of the loading then please try the fix I posted a few posts back. That should resolve any issues with loading of add-on packages. In my experience the community is generally faster and more efficient resolving or working around issues than the zendesk team where it’s possible.
Hi Sling380,
No, that’s not my situation at all. In fact I renamed the community folder and let the sim regenerate a new one. Still no improvement. It’s strictly a low bandwidth issue, as it’s called, and no reflection on my top tier FIOS service. I wish that was my issue so I can get a fix, but that’s gotta come from MS themselves at this point. The need to up their resources and servers to accommodate the masses, so it seems to me… I could be wrong or just naive
I’m not certain you fully understand what that fix is for based on what you posted. It’s not a community folder fix because as we know it’s easy to just empty the community folder. The fix is to resolve in sim add-ons that MIcrosoft have made available and you have enabled in your 2024 library. Just so it’s clear the community folder actions are the solution not the problem. If you are getting stuck at 96, 97 percent or around there then it’s absolutely recommended you try it. If that scenario is not you then yes it’s possibly not the solution you need.
Hi Sling380,
Thank you for clarifying! Understood. This is NOT my situation. All I ever get is all the “LOW BANDWIDTH” related messages. It just never drills down to the runway after selecting either “Free” or “Career” modes. Thanks…
I may have a small break-thru… I’m testing something that’s almost ridiculous, it’s so simple. If it works (consistently) I’ll post my results, and then feel foolish!
I’ll let you know soon …
changing the dns on my fritzbox worked. There are some tutorials about this.
Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
• Yes
Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• Installed MSFS 2024 at the release and everything was OK. After update 1.2.11.0 I can’t start the game. Says Bandwidth too low. I have restarted the router several times and measured the speed to 931 Mpbs down and 116 Mbps up. I have also reinstalled the entire game and set the parameters to default. The community folder is empty and there are no additional programs
Installed on PC through Xbox - what went wrong
Hi!, Here’s a post I made that may help you?
I tried your solution and it really improved the situation A LOT, thank you. The game still does not load 100% smoothly but it went down from 10 minutes to about 1-2 to load into a mission. There really seem to b serious issues in connection with Telekom’s DNS servers.
