[MSFS2024] Sim Update 6: Your Dream Feature?

then bring back rolling cache setting and let me allocate 300GB to it. why was it removed from the settings in the first place?

also this must not be true as my internet usage increases by around 5GB per session play and I always fly over the same places..

it is somehow made to work with MSFS2020 on xbox. you can download 200GB pack and play offline…

It’s certainly true that it’s how it’s designed to work. Unfortunately since PS5 cannot set rolling cache amounts it’s possible that it’s set so low by default that you need to keep redownloading things in order to use them even when flying in similar areas. That said, it’s still downloaded to your local storage and read off of that, it’s not literally streaming the data to you live as you play it.

the rolling cache was perfectly fine in previous PS5 betas, why was it turned off?

I have 2TB SSD I will gladly allocate much more than they are making by default..

give us that setting back.

A question only MS/Asobo can answer.

It would be very necesary to improve VR performance in airports. It is still really poor.

1)..Add some basic apron lights to default airports so you can use them at night … Xplane is far far better in that respect

2)..some kind of fix to address the number of Localizers that are out of alignment in the sim

sadly i dont think these will ever get done

That would solve a lot of career mode issues if all airstrips had at least a few basic lights. However, that may not appeal to the purists.

You’re right. Lights should not be at every airport for a multitude of reasons.

However, they should be at airports that have them and either way, career mode should take this into account.

My wish - bring back the World Hub. Let us fix the airports.

This current default fleet is not working for me in career mode, I just don’t have the time to get career mode captial for the 737 max or a320 with this current fleet, To fill in the missing gap in career mode, I’d love to see a CRJ 200, Fairchild Metro-liner, Embrear E175LR, Saab 2000, and Beechcraft B1900D, and Boeing 717 200, because not all of us want to fly super long flights

My dream would be for Asobo to finally realize they cannot program for consoles and PCs using the same code and graphics rendering, since the hardware is drastically different between the 3 (Xbox, PS5, PCs).

Program for the Xbox and PS5 to make the best use of their limited system resources.

Program for PCs taking into account the faster CPU/GPU speeds and the higher availability of RAM and VRAM.

I just want the beta process to work properly for once; If a new bug gets reported it gets fixed during that beta, not left to release to the main public build preventing a fix for months/years later.

Asobo need to change their approaches to game affecting issues that get reported and bug logged, 5 1/2 years of what has been largely a blasè attitude all this time, it’s time for serious change.

Wouldn’t call it a dream feature per se, but would be nice to see tidal effects around the globe. You can remove the water mask on some areas and see huge swathes of low tide imagery, but it would take some pretty clever programming to dynamically adjust that mask over time (and have the end result look natural).

This is what I would like for Sim update 6 - More bindings for aircraft with more than 4 engines.

Please look at this guys.

Big bloomy lights on aircraft that means we can easily spot traffic.

Both agree and disagee. I persoanly DO NOT like the big bloomy lights on aircraft. Look both unrealisitc and ugly. However I do agree wholeheartedly that Asobo needs to once and for all fix the aircraft view issue in the sim. I’d really like to be able to see a plane when looking straight at it, not have to turn my head 45 deg left or right

Proper multi-jetway support for aircraft like the upcoming iniBuilds A380-which releases first on the Marketplace then on iniManager at a later date.

When recording gameplay, it would be great to be able to zoom in more, and also adjust the zoom speed.

Also, the vertical movement with the Y key seems slower than in MSFS2020.

A Boeing 727 200 for career mode, and Boeing 747 200 with both passenger and freighter to make career mode more interesting

A new Boeing 727 200 in its day would cost 18 million and the older 747 200 would cost 39 million

(Those two aircraft could save career mode with their low costs and I could get into heavy cargo and passenger operations more quickly with those prices)

Plus that would give us an 747 variant we can play with quicker

State saving on all aircraft and improved AI traffic
