Thanks,
MSFS Team

Surprised nobody has mentioned this yet, but Iā€™ve found the cowl flaps to be bugged and not productive in cooling the engine. Anyone else have that problem? Iā€™ve also found itā€™s very difficult to manage engine RPM, but that seems believable to me from what I know about the aircraft, having not had the privilege to fly one myself.

Absolute joy as a glider, and lovely artwork.

For me the Speed Brake didnā€™t work :frowning:
Tried I manual from cockpit and nothing.
On external inspection the speed brake didnā€™t show and canā€™t be proofed. Seems they forgot them?

did the Speed Brakes work for you? If not, how do you land?

The speed brakes work fine for me; I just have them bound to a slider, but I think theyā€™re somewhere to the left of you in the cockpit, IIRC.I didnā€™t discover any issues other than the cowl flaps not cooling.

Maybe double-check whether theyā€™re considered spoilers or speed brakes? Might need a slightly different bind. I forget if 2024 handles the two separately

Unfortunately, this Stemme S12 is not yet a device that could be called ā€œstudy levelā€.

Letā€™s hope that future updates will raise the level of this wonderful bird.

I tried them with the lever with blue header on the left side of the cockpit left of the flaps. The tip says speed brake the lever moved but nothing appear and no speed reduction. didnā€™t have a spare axis on my normal joke, will try to exchange throttle with speed brake and mapping key assignment to it. But in cockpit few should work in first place.
Thanks for the answer

Great bird!

2 things urgently need to be fixed:

Autopilot only holds the direction in a very poor way. Feels like itĀ“s drunk being in HDG/NAV mode.
Spoilers / ā€œairbrakesā€ have no real effect. When these things are out, the bird should descend really fast. The angle of attack would also have to be changed here, otherwise it sags. (So that it would be realistic)

Same way you land any open class glider ā€œkeep going downwind until youā€™re scared, then go some moreā€.

Itā€™s an open class glider, if you donā€™t nail the approach the airbrake handle is more something to hold onto as you go through the hedge at the far end of the runway.

My big question is ā€œwhere is the cruise/climb switch?ā€. That and the almost total lack of adverse yaw is why the gliders in MSFS are such a joke to the gliding community.

Even if I deactivated the copilot I sometimes have one in the Stemme. As she is looking beyond spooky Iā€˜d rather like to fly alone.

Anyone else having this ?

Is the co-pilot weight set to 0 in the EFB?

Yes, have checked this.
In the manual it says there is a clickspot, but only for 2020.
