MSFS2024 xBox - Free Flight - no ATC - no settings from MS2020

Dear all,

it seems that you have to configure all hardware settings from scratch. I literally had to take photos of my settings in MS2020 and try to manually apply them in MSFS 2024.

Most important: How do I activate the window where it shows the nearest airports and where I can choose the airport, type of landing etc?

I am using xbox series x, controller and thrustmaster hotas.

Update:

  1. To activate the cursor mode in flight you need to press the left stick and RB at the same time
  2. Once the menu appears on the top there is a chat icon for ATC. It took a while before the window appeared. I may have accidentally clicked twice the first time since it took too long
  3. The window that appears has a glitch on xbox. You can’t change the height. Therefore if you want to scroll pages of nearest airports you have to scroll each page. That it is very complicated on xbox with the controller.
  4. Also I figured that some buttons are assigned to new features. So be careful what you change, because it can become a mess later on when you start using other features or Aircraft with special functions.
