I have a 4090 GPU with a display port (for my 34" Alienware monitor) and 1 HDMI Port. I can get the Alienware and 1 monitors to work using the HDMI but I have a 3rd monitor. I bought a HDMI splitter thinking I could tie the 2 extra monitors via the HDMI port however it won’t recognize either now. If I go back and plug 1 extra monitor into the HDMI port it works fine but using the splitter, no joy. Any suggestions ?? I’ve read win 11 help and it’s no help.
You should have more ports than that. I have a Asus 4080 with 3 Displayports and 2 HDMI 2.1 ports. Use a cable with DP to HDMI or buy an adaptor and use your other DP ports. I have 7 screens plugged into my PC - 5 on my card, 1 DP, 1 HDMI on internal graphics ports - 7 total.
Hope this helps.
I do … I just looked and I have 2 additional display ports. They had plugs in them and I thought they were dead., and 1 of the monitors has a display port so ordering a DP cable now. Thanks for the feedback.
Glad it helped! Love it when you get new ways of doing things with existing equipment!
