So last night was my first time turning on Multiplayer and trying it out. Did a short little fun flight from Lake Havasu to Sky Harbor (flying above the Arizona desert is beautiful FYI.) on approach I noticed four 747s lined on the taxi way waiting for me to land. Once I landed the first 747 lined up for takeoff but waited for me to taxi off the main runway. I made sure they were real players and they were. I dunno, just thought id mention how cool that felt lol. Im still new to flight sims so this stuff still blows my mind =D. Thanks all.

but is there a way to contact other players in the game?
Occasionally I see other players flying past or at airports, but I cannot click on them and talk with them. Seems a pity?
Maybe I miss something here? I know that you can enter a âFriendâ from the menu, but that seems clunky to me. Thoughts?
Sadly I donât think you can. The only way I was able to make sure they were real plays was to pull up my VFR map and zoom in to see their gamertags and or turn nameplates on. Would be super cool if they add aircraft to aircraft coms.
Yep, thatâs what I did too â checked on VFR map to see them.
I guess itâs a ânice to haveâ feature that will come along in a further update.
In my case I was not so lucky. Most players I meet do not follow the real procedures, they run over others aircrafts, want to race to see who gets to the runway first to take off and do not use the ATC. 
Can you actually see other playerâs atc messages? As far as I remember I have never seen any messages over comms where I thought, yep that call sign etc. must be another player.
I love using atc and the âatmosphereâ it creates, knowing what goes on with the other dudes. It would be quite a bad thing for me, if other playerâs atc messages are not visible/audible to you.
Teamspeak, Discord and many other free VOIP clients out there just search for âgame chatâ
Yeah thats what i currently use for when im flying with friends but it would still be cool to talk to random players you fly by during solo flights.
I know these communication systems exist. Iâm just asking for those atc messages. For me, as personal preference, their not really for direct communication, but more like atmosphere.

Not really. I am talking about the ATC menu. The menu where you get your take off or landing clearence yadda yadda.
Yes you can hear other players sending their ATC messages and the AI answering them.
Itâd be neat to have a âprivate channelâ for say, planes in 10 miles? Yesterday I as doing transatlantic and there were some lights tantalisingly there almost all the way on the screen from another player. Wouldâve been cool just to have been able just to say âHey (insert name), howâs it going? Where you off to? Ah cool, well have a good oneâ .
