Multiple jetways implementation and support for MSFS 2020/2024

One key feature that would elevate Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 to new heights of realism and is missing currently is the inclusion of multiple jetways at gates for large aircraft such as the Airbus A330, A350 and A380 as well as the Boeing 777, 747, and 787 and more. Here’s are the keys reasons why this should be added to the sim:

  1. Realistic Ground Operations: In real-world aviation, large airliners often utilize two or more jetways to expedite passenger boarding and disembarkation. Bringing this to MSFS 2024 would enhance immersion, especially at major international hubs.

  2. Enhanced Add-on Compatibility: Many aircraft add-ons, including the PMDG 777 and upcoming iniBuilds A350, are designed with multi-door boarding in mind. Multiple jetways would ensure these add-ons align with realistic airport configurations.

  3. Improved Efficiency in Simulation: For virtual pilots, time matters. Simulating faster turnarounds through dual or triple jetways reflects the operational practices of airlines, allowing users to replicate real-life schedules and workflows.

  4. Better Integration with Ground Handling Tools: Advanced tools like GSX already incorporate detailed ground services. Multiple jetways would enhance the capabilities of these tools, enabling seamless multi-door servicing and realistic animations.

Adding this feature would bridge the gap between airport infrastructure and aircraft capabilities, offering a next-level experience for those who fly widebody airliners. It’s a logical step for MSFS 2024 to further establish itself as the ultimate flight simulation platform.

Yeah, we need the votes so it can be featured on the dev stream, any help like repost to get more votes would help

This has been missing for far too long and given the complexity of other aspects of the sim, I’d have thought this was a comparatively easy thing to implement.

Loading an A380 via one jetway is silly - VOTED

Thanks @Airbumps2501, hoping they comment about it at least, getting this up the wishlist leaderboard could get their attention

That’s something we’ve been waiting for at least 2 years…

I’ve asked about this in the devsupport forum, they claim it’s already in but I don’t think it is. Let’s hope this will be supported later.

This was implemented in P3D with SODE, thought it would also already be implemented with fs2020 but here we are 4 years later.

Hi guys, please note we haven’t made it to the dev update wishlist, keep your eyes open for December 19 to see if we get added, In the meantime any help to help grow this would be greatly appreciated

This needs to come to 2020 also. If it gets added to 2024 it should also make its way across to 2020
