Music comes on briefly when launching the game even when music is set to Off

You’re probably right. The game however should use a last known locally cached value for the setting until settings are downloaded from the cloud an applied.

Yes, such a simple solution!

Even easier would be to insert a 1 second period of silence into the beginning of the music file they are playing.

still downloading the update, but I’m betting my graphics card the music is still playing in the loading screen

Massively frustrating bug

Rather surprisingly, this seems to be partially fixed with the Sim Update 9 beta. The default music will no longer play for a few seconds after the splash logos are presented, and if a different track is selected, it will begin playing correctly immediately (without a full loop of the Color 1 intro beforehand).

However, it still plays for a split second in the middle of the loading sequence.

I’m using it as an inidicator to know when half of the game is loaded, while having the loading screen minimized  the bug would be very useful if he would appear at the end of loading :joy:

On Flight Simulator loading, before reaching the main UI, even if we have already disabled UI music and UI sounds (GENERAL OPTIONS / SOUND / VOLUME LEVELS / MUSIC and USER INTERFACE set to 0), we are still getting some fragment of sound (music), specifically on first screen before INSTALLATION MANAGER screen (at least one or two seconds duration, however mostly reach 5 or 6 seconds duration) and around NEW ACTIVITIES screen (less than half a second duration)

The whole Audio configuration, during the Initial load is totally ■■■■■, with the audio source switching between various Output devices, as the sim loads.

If you do not have speakers / headphones on all those devices, it sound like the Music sound is Glitching ( like about to CTD !! ) and is intermittent, if you are only listening to one Output device, but in reality, it is jumping around.

Even if everywhere is set to DEFAULT Windows devices … Go Figure !!!

Not a Big deal , but just another example of things that obviously should not happen, and don’t get fixed.

I just hope that the horrible plastic ‘music’ on sim loading is deleted permanently.

Marked as Won’t Fix at this time.
