Hey everyone, I use the MSFS addons linker, for those who do not know, is a tool that creates links from a folder of your choice to the community file so you can organise your addons. With the new update, nothing has changed as this has been going on for a few weeks now. Every addon linked with the MSFS Addons Linker will cause the simulator to not load. I have spoken to the creator of this tool and he does not know what is wrong. Who has the same issue?
Doubtful that it is the add-on linker since all it is doing is creating symlinks. I’m using it without any problems. My guess is that there is something wrong with your symlinks specifically. I’d probably start with creating one by hand and seeing if that works. If it does, try doing a binary compare to the one created by the add-on linker. If they are different, something may be corrupting the symlink. Alternatively, perhaps it is a permissions issue that isn’t being handled properly by MSFS. Definitely double check what permissions are assigned to your simlinks–perhaps an ACL got messed up.
Thanks! I can conclude that something is being corrupted, as if you delete the .ini file it will start new, giving me access to all my mods just once. After that, the error persists. I will also check the permissions. Thanks
