I was wrong, and I am not ashamed to admit.
I wrote some time ago, in the early days when download issues were generalised and first impressions were given away perhaps too hastily, that for the time being MSFS2020 was going to - at the very best - flank my v11.5 Vulkan XPlane setup, with stunning birds like the MD88 and the JarDesign A320, not to speak of the utterly perfect B737-800 generously offered for free by Zibo.
That said, I say it again: I apologise. I do that after a few session of multiplayer, where I enjoyed (for the very first time in my simulation flight experience) both stunning views and the joy of sharing them with others. Yesterday’s Alps crossing Official fly-in organised by the Flight Simulation Forum was just the cherry on the cake, so to speak.
Yes, I still feel the need for real panels with real procedures (an A320, a 737-800 at most), with working AP systems for a realistic IFR flights.
But I discovered now with FS2020 something I never before experienced with Xplane (or FSX, or any other FS back to FS98…): the beauty of VFR flight, with a 152 (that I flew for real) or a Cub.
I apologise, and I’m happy to do it.
I can now foresee many happy hours of enjoyment, flying with friends and/or complete strangers, talking to them through Discord and (hopefully in the near future) being directed by real ATC (something still to address, the artificial ATC is, truth to be said, obsolete and the implementation of AVSIM or IVAO in the game still hard on FPS).

There is continuous Msfs update\improvement, with time it will get different.

so sorry to hurt your sensitive eyes too: English is not my first language and I can better express myself either in Italian (my mother-tongue) or Spanish if you so wish.
We Italians and Spanish speak very fast and we sound as if we are mixing all the words together (or so my german friends tell me), I guess we write in the same way
Anyway, I think we don’t need to be too hard with ourselves. There is some fair criticism to do, and indeed there are several areas and features where FS2020 is still way behind other well established sims. For me the point is that most of the complaints here seem to be done in good faith. We all want this platform to succeed, and we are passionate about this hobby, so the feedback is also very direct and, sometimes, impatient.
It is so rare to see an apology that I forgive any grammatical errors in speech or writing. Well done.

Amen to that! I’ve met so many new people over Discord. I’m an old ■■■■and never thought I’d be making new friends I care (if I may be honest) in this point in life. Love this community, the future is bright for MSFS.

I love flying with study level sims like the PMDG 737 or all the great A2A aircraft, learning the systems, flying by the book and all that. But my primary reason for flying always was simply the freedom of seeing the beautiful world from the air.
FSX and P3D combined with Orbx scenery came as close as it could get with the available technology, but FS2020 is a HUGE leap in the right direction. Study level sim add-on aircraft will come soon enough, but for the time being I happily leave all the PMDG and A2A goodness behind and fly the default aircraft over the beauty of FS2020 … because in the end, that’s what flying is all about for me!
