My wife and I sometimes simfly together for a bit. As she’s a lot smarter than I am, I asked her to learn how approach plates work and she keeps up with me during tricky arrivals through foggy fjords, making sure we are where we need to be. She even started an interest in VOR-beacons, she’s now tuning them radios and intercept courses on the logitech panel. 
(Did had to watch the whole Amelia Earhart movie though, with Richard Gere and all…
