My World Map has a plane sticking out of it with spinning engines

I had this for the first time today (2 planes). Any idea WHAT add on is making it happen?
I have used addons since day 1… empty community is not an option

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?

yup

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:

for me uts a different aircraft

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

Yea I’ve had the same. No idea what caused it but restart the sim and it was fine and I’ve never seen it again lol

This happened to me this morning!

Hello,

look at that plane’s winglets. Is any your aircraft in library that has this feature? Any MAX version? Any new added livery inside Community folder?

I can’t help but grin broadly. now. at breakfast.

 it’s so funny, please don’t fix this problem

So, as per @HamMan2118 's post above, do you know which addon(s) are causing this? I’m guessing it must be a recent one…

No clue and it is not something I will spend any time figuring out, as it is completely unpredictable. It wasn’t there on the previous flight, appeared for setting up a second flight and wasn’t there on entering and immediately exiting a flight.

In no case is the aircraft in the globe remotely related to any aircraft I’ve flown, taken off or landed near.

Entering a flight and immediately exiting cured it.

I had this once long ago. Was caused by a livery

I believe I just found out:

  • When exiting a flight, Al aircraft models will sometimes appear inside the globe.

Went to set up a new flight on map, and zoomed out all the way to see where the daylight was.

Look what I see as I zoomed out!

After a flight and going back into the World Map this is what it loaded.

I would agree with @NixonRedgrave … at least in my case this “bug” was always related to FSLTL “AI” aircraft which get injected into the sim from the “outside”.

However, even if the “trigger” is FSLTL this should be considered a MSFS bug, as the sim has the final say which objects get injected into the 3D object graph of the game.

Either the “post flight” cleanup is buggy … or some kind of injection can still happen while/after the exit to the main menu (and later the “world globe”) takes place.
