I am brand new to XBox and still getting used to the controller and the controls. MSFS is confusing enough with all the different control possibilities depending on the menu or camera or ‘current state’ like if you’ve toggled the toolbar cursor which I was convinced was clicking both joysticks to toggle the cursor but apparently it was “clicking the left joystick”.
It was working fine until last night when just after takeoff it seemed to bring up the toolbar all by itself and this deactivates your ability to use the left joystick to fly.
After nearly dying a bunch of times and then finally crashing and burning and then trying (unsuccesfully) to set up a brand new controller profile which it for some reason kept insisting on using the default profile, I finally just deleted the binding for the toolbar cursor toggle.
I can fly again but it sucks that my brand new controller is already flakey.
BTW - Im posting this in case you have XBox and fly with the controller and its doing weird things to you – maybe this will help.
I need for my standard PC joystick to work with this game/sim/whatever.
I dont think your controller is the issue, its more than likely the sim.
