Navigraph or Simbrief doesn`t work with addons like Salty Boeing, Headwind A330-900, FBW in the new simulator. We get internal errors. With the new Sim the datas/ waypoints will not find in this parts.
Has everyone other experience with this addons in msfs2024?
Hi,
The problem is the underlying data—you´re currently using the LIDO data, which is quite different from ours (also, when someone here means they are the same).
We are still working on our navigation updates for MSFS2024, and it looks good that we can release them soon. After that, you no longer see these experiences in any add-on that uses the in-game data.
Jeppesen offers worldwide data and charts for all categories/minimal, international units (ex. feet instead of meters, …), and so on. So you can be sure that all data are 100% fit to the charts or vice versa. Not as in the past, and also now, too, that you have a mix of LIDO data/charts, FAA data/charts, and who knows what data merging will come in the future by WT.
In the ‘International System of Units’ (SI) the unit for length is meters not feet. So LIDO is internationally correct. Do you know why Jeppesen does its own thing?
Jeppesen is not doing its own thing, I believe it is following the aviation conventions that obtain for each country/region. For example, in the US altitude is denoted in feet, not meters. This would be set by the FAA in the USA (and also a matter of long standing custom). Make sense?
A lot of aviation is actually determined by convention and therefore history. Any changes are expensive to make and implement across thousands of aircraft and then there are the safety implications of changing anything. The results over time can seem like a hodgepodge really.
It’s not just thousands of aircraft - it’s tens of thousands of them, plus hundreds of thousands of pilots (maybe more), plus associated air traffic personnel, maintenance personnel, dispatch and fleet management personnel, millions of pages of regulations, etc. Standardization matters far, far more than easier-to-use units.
