Ciao guys,
I am evaluating the purchase of the annual Navigraph Navdata, but despite reading several discussions about it, I still have some doubts, so I hope you can take them away
My undesrtanding is that after paying the annual subscriprion, it is necessary to install the Navigraph navdata in MSFS, following the instructions provided in the Navigraph site; This procedure does not “replace” the in sim navdata (it does not owerwritye any data in the sim), but simply install Navigraph navdata “on top” of the native navdata, so the process is fully reversible is something goes wrong.
My doubts have nothing to do with the above procedure, provided I did understand it correctly, but I wonder IF once the Navigraph data are installed in MSFS, I can then generate IFR flight plans with Simbrief and having MSFS ATC guidance coherent with the flgith plan.
I am also not sure whether it is necessary export the FP from Simbrief in the MSFS format and then import it in the world map, before importing it into the airplane MCDU/FMS …again, to have ATC coherent with the flight plan.
I am asking these questions becaus by reading some articles I have understood that the flight plan imported into MCDU/FMS are not sent to MSFS (because data are in a different format), and so, the ATC will not assist me during the flight or if doing so, it would give absurd indications …
If there is no guarantee that having the Navigraph navdata the ATC will act coherently, then there would be no use for me spending 36€ for the annual subscriprion.
Thanks for your help, have a nice day.

Get it and don’t look back

You use the Navigraph HUB to install the latest AIRAC into the sim
-
The Navigraph HUB is also used to install the latest AIRAC into your third party aircraft / applications that support it (PMDG 737, Aerosoft CRJ, FENIX A320, TDS, etc…)
-
The Navigraph HUB also gets you the Navigraph apps like in game charts, panels, etc…
-
The Navigraph FMS Data Manager is used to install the latest AIRAC into further third party applications (Pilot2ATC, Little NAV Map, ActiveSky FS, etc…)
-
Simbrief Flight Plan Downloader is used to pull down in various formats and no, there is no need to load it into the World Map provided your aircraft can accept the flight plan from Simbrief directly (most do) or you can enter it manually (your choice). If you have an aircraft that simply cannot accept it from Simbrief downloader, or directly from Simbrief itself (built in integration) then yes, you’d have to enter it into the World Map or by hand

No issues with ATC provided you loaded the Navigraph AIRAC into the Sim itself through the Navigraph Hub
I hope that helps.

I’m not in a position to answer your questions as I’m on Xbox so you’ll have access to extra processes but some of the answers will depend on which a/c you’re planning to fly.
For example the FSR500 the MSFS ATC does work with a Simbrief generated FP imported directly to the EFB without any information entered on the World Map other than departure point.
The Inibuilds A320N V2 doesn’t work with MSFS ATC unless you also enter the FP in the World Map. This isn’t possible on Xbox but the Simbrief FP can be imported into the World Map on PC.
Thanks guys for the prompt reply, very appreciated !!!
Now, based on your kind replies, it all on my side, to make my mind up.
BTW, I just got an email from Navigraph informing that takeoff and landing calculations have been released. Maybe this feature is redundant for those aircraft that have these capabilities in their EFB, but a nice to have for those aircraft that do not have an EFB or if it is available, it only provides takeoff calculation (i.e. the newly released A320 V2 by Inibuilds)
Ciao, take care

If OP wants to use in game ATC then loading simbrief flight plan into the World Map is necessary. Especially when flying Fenix or PMDG planes.
