OXRTK is functional again during VR operation and doesn’t cause CTD during startup. These are the full version info numbers:
Quest 3 68.0.0.507.364
Meta Quest Link PCVR 68.0.0.474.361
hey thanks…my quest 2 is still in v67 and I’m waiting for support to get back to me to figure out why it’s not updating to v68…
so far almost 3 days in chat with them 2.5hrs each day testing and trying different tasks.
so no luck so this got booted up the ladder to the really smart support staff…
oh and I don’t even us open xr tool kit
All I know is to select Public Test Channel (at least temporarily ) on both my cellphone Meta app (Meta Horizon->Lower Center Button->Upper Right button->Device Management_Devices->(must have your Quest on)->Meta Quest 2/3->Headset Settings (near the bottom)->Advanced Settings->PTC) (WOW) and also on the Meta PC app (Settings->Beta->PTC)
It’s a site for firmware quest 2, it’s simple… copy to quest 2 and update.
ok thank you for this…sooooooo close
I have the zip file in quest 2 downloads folder and when I reboot it doesn’t update nor does it show update now in settings…what am I not doing?
not so simple for me…lol
well…thanks for the firmware link…i downloaded latest version and finally got it to sideload…however still no vr in msfs2020. same error. openxr not installed…
Make sure that OpenXR Runtime is selected in the Meta PC app (Meta Quest Link) on Settings->General
i’m agree with SearBreak225638, see your Meta PC app and select OpenXR runtime in Settings->gGeneral.
There are too, the app XPickerguy to GitHub - rpavlik/xr-picker: OpenXR Runtime Picker
With that you can select you’re runtime OpenXR.
Good luck !
hey…
well app is set to meta openxr as default as usual . and still get the
i tried setting steam as default xr and was able to switch to vr but very choppy on low settings,
If I use virtual Desktop with linkcable I may get maybe once or twice to switch to vr then the ability goes away, meaning I hit switch to vr and screen flickers once and no vr…
All drivers upto date and still waiting on support to get back
Do you have a separate router for Virtual Desktop connection? You should join the Virtual Desktop discord and they will help. You need to share your hardware (PC-CPU-GPU-graphics card) and software (OS version etc).
no on the router…using link cable and not using steamvr in options
Here for the initialization VR Failed, perhaps for you ?
hey…so I do have my path for openxr as it shows in the fix.
so far the only way is through steamvr but it is choppy,
before this v68, I would launch sim via desktop and then fly in vr with no issues
steam vr in sim kept getting choppy so never used it…
hey all…
well OMG…I finally figured it out…
Oculus Tray Tool …installed and left default setting…now msfs2020 switches to VR…
thanks to all that tried to help…
Glenn.
