I did a flight after last patch. I couldn’t respond to ATC due to no option available. Then I get to the airport and land on a strip barely wide enough for a car. Turn around at the end and one wheel touches the grass and my prize is going from 2/3rds “S” to 1/3rd “C” and airline procedures a negative value…
Tip, you can still respond to ATC by opening the communications menu if needed. I feel your pain and frustration.
Not if the option isn’t there. I am aware of hitting \ rather than enter. but if there is nothing at the bottom of comms there is no option.
Sometimes it doesn’t change the frequency to the airport you are landing at. You have to manually change the frequency.
You can use the MFD Airport Information from the WPT tab, use the web based official flight planner, or any of the other various website based airport info or flight planning options.
It happens to me on at least half of my missions. I have got into the habit of checking what the airport comms are at the destination airport, before I takeoff, and program that into the standby half of Com1. I use Com2 for ATIS/AWOS reports.
