Nevada Bush Tour - Black Rock City

Has anyone been able to complete this leg? I’ve stopped on all parts of the runway shown in the picture and it won’t complete the leg. I’ve done so much I’m about to run out of fuel and I didn’t want to refill at Burning Man lol.

Same problem here! On right runway, but leg does not automatically end.

I’m not there yet, but I now I expect to be annoyed after finishing that 70nm leg  Just landed at the dirt strip outside Sparks, which was surprisingly difficult to find.

I figured it out. On the strip with the arrow..there’s a very small box with what looks like a grass plane growing. Park right in there and it gives you the leg complete.

For some reason, I had no problem. Landed on the strip, braked to a stop and it was done.

BTW…if you do this bush tour it will take you right by the current California Wild Fires.

I was also struggling with this one. There is indeed a certain area you need to get to on that strip. About 3/4 from the arrow to the planes parked (slightly off the left) is a 100ft wide by 10ft long strip (box) of different texture. I would describe it as “fine gravel” Once I stopped in this box the leg was complete. Maybe this box marks the “beginning” of this runway.

I have completed that leg. It was a real bear to find the runway but if you come to a stop on it you will complete that leg of the journey.

Guys,
I know that this is an old discussion… but has anyone managed to complete this leg.

I land with almost full tanks, but whether I land in open space or on either of the two runways marked with black arrows I always get a message saying I am out of fuel and cannot continue.

Is this a bug… or am i doing something silly?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Not sure if I remember that right, but wasn’t this with one of tail draggers and you had manually switch from one tank to the other? I remember running out of fuel in the middle of a flight because I was not aware of this.

But your situation should be a bit different because you’re the getting the message you mentioned. Are you sure that your tanks are still full? I was getting out fuel as well and learned that I had to bind a key to “refuel” as refuelling on an airport wasn’t working.
