I’ve mentioned somewhere (maybe this thread?) that the 5700XT in my build is the first time I’ve ever used a Radeon card. In the past they were power hungry and ran hot. No thanks.
This time around I purchased a Gigabyte Aorus 5700XT to fit my Gigabyte Aorus board. It hasn’t been entirely without issues, but since I have factory drivers for the mainboard and a proven stable driver for the GPU, I really haven’t had too many CTD events that can be traced back to the GPU.
I may try installing the WHQL “driver only” mentioned to see if that helps eliminate all of the few CTD events I can squarely blame on the Radeon software and driver. If it makes it worse I can always reinstall the one I’m using now…
