that’s why i find it cheaper to do rolling upgrades towards the end of a given generation. You aren’t paying top dollar for the newest stuff but you can still get higher end gear for a lot cheaper when the next gen is about to be released.
That’s a very good point. Previously in my hypothetical low cost MSFS build I included a 4060 only because of the frame generation. Now I’m thinking a low end AMD video card might be better as I’m sure some of the optimizations MS/AMD do for Xbox will carry over into the mainstream AMD/MS products.
I just saw on Gamers Nexus a review of the 5600x3D and indeed the low end gaming capabilities at 1080p is very appealing for those on a tight budget. It also indicated Microcenter is offering a bundle deal of the 5600x3D, Asus B550-PLUS TUF motherboard and 16GB memory for $329. At this price point, in two years just sell the system and get another one.
It would be very interesting to see this benchmarked with MSFS.
