New G2 Settings Struggle

I just got a new V2 Reverb G2. I cannot get this thing to place nicely with MSF. I have tried various settings from here and on FB but I get stutters and breakups and just horrible performance. I am tempted to go back to the Q2 but that system is also a huge frustration.

Hardware:
10700
3090
32g Ram
Reverb G2 V2

Any links would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

If you’re on Windows 11, you probably need to update.

A fix just become available the likely cause.

Same here but not any longer: after switching on the Reverb G2 and before MSFS, if you stop holographicshell in computer management, no more stutters! Works for me, hopefully for you too.

Make sure you have OpenXR set to Custom Resolution 100%. Motion Reprojection Disabled.
Make sure MWR has everything set to Best Visual Quality.
Select DX12 with TAA 100% for the sharpest image.
Reset Nvidia Control Panel settings for 3D. You don’t need anything in there.

Your hardware is fine. Likely the Holographic Shell is the culprit. Kill it or better yet update Windows as suggested.

The rest is just preferences depending on what and how you fly. You can tweak endlessly to optimize for low and fast, low and slow, glass cockpit clarity, scenery and on and on and on.

horrible advice, most of it. sry

Have you installed the recent KB5020030 update? It resolved my lag problem with G2 (openxr) which required me to revert back to 21H2 (windows 10 and disabling holographicshell telemetry didn’t help either) until this update came along. Running a 3070 + 8700K.

Were you having issues in W10 or W11?

And what exactly do you mean by lag? Stutters? Were they caused by CPU or GPU?

And why do you think that Windows update helps? Its description doesn’t hint at any relevant improvements.
