I just fired up MSFS2024 for the first time on a new PC and I get to this screen where I enter my username and password…and it just shows me this while the game intro loop plays on repeat forever in the background.
Anyone seen this before?
Hi, I can’t tell what iis happening to you.
But I’m on Steam and when I start FS2024 from Steam, it displays a verification box that states to look at your Email and click it to validate that you have Xbox .
You need to enter an Email that has a MS account associated with it.
i did, then it changes to this page. it’s saying my name so i think the log in was successful
Open Microsoft Store and sign in - click downloads > check for updates.
If you have KB5079473 installed, uninstall it - it’s bugged and causes login issues with Microsoft applications, including MSFS. This update has messed up my system and others as well. You can find more details in the linked thread.

After uninstalling it, pause Windows Updates for a month.
Restart PC.
Open Xbox app - sign in, click MSFS 2024 > play.
Try Alt-tabbing out and back into it - it rings a vague bell…
