Hello fellow flyers!

I’m new to the forum so I had to say Hello.
Been loving the new sim very much!
I’m currently controlling my plane with an xbox controller which is great but I’m saving up for a new joystick.
The Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS HOTAS.
I read that it works well with FS.
Does anyone here have experience with this stick?

Z.

Don’t use that stick, so can’t speak about it. But welcome to the forums! Hope your flight experiences are going well, but if not, this is the place to come look for answers. You might do a search of the forum before you ask, as there have been a ton of things that we’ve worked through up to this point, but if you can’t find something, just ask away!!
Regards

Thanks for the reply!
I’ve been having a relatively calm time with fs2020.
Had one crash but that’s it.
A little bit of lag when it’s loading new cities/towns but nothing serious.

Since you planning on investing into controls:
If you don’t intend to purchase rudder pedals separately, take care to get a joystick with a 3rd (Z) axis, so you can do yaw-control by twisting the stick. The T.16000M does have this axis, so if you want to go ahead with this model, it seems to be a safe decision.

Thanks for the advice!

Be aware though that there are many people (also in this forum) who don’t find much joy with their yaw-controllers. At least regarding z-axis-joysticks, it’s inevitable to have unwanted steering inputs into roll and pitch movement while twisting the stick in its yaw-axis. Also your wrist just can’t work that sensitive like feet on rudder pedals can. It’s a matter of individual experience and choice I guess. I hope it will work for you.

Yes, I have that very stick along with the throttle and pedals.
I’ve rarely used the stick by itself but on the odd occasion I have, it seems to work well though twisting the stick for rudder input isn’t as easy as using pedals.
Of course, you could always save up a bit longer and get the full kit…
