This may depend on how each of us plan our flights, what we look at, and what our expectations are.
I never had a problem planning my flights once the forecast hour issues were fixed earlier this year.
My biggest determination when planning a flight was whether it should be VFR or IFR. I honestly never planned my flight using METAR data alone. I’d review the current forecast model available (NOT any current satellite or radar data, just the forecast data), take note of weather in the surrounding areas and not just at the airports themselves (the Meteoblue weather model is pretty low resolution so conditions reported may be just “nearby” in the sim), take note of the prevailing winds on the ground, aloft, etc., and take into consideration the duration of the flight itself (the weather in the sim may be an hour ahead or behind).
This method proved very reliable and I never encountered any major weather anomalies unless the system itself was bugged or down.
Clouds always appeared at the correct altitude in a general sense for me. Having storms sometimes being depicted as being within the area in sim (if not directly overhead as in the forecast) was enough for me to determine whether my flight would be VFR or IFR. Winds were always accurate and coming from the same general direction as reported so I never had a problem with ATC assigning me incorrect runways.
